Housing sales, prices continue to fall

Summary: Housing prices and sales continued their slump in Toronto last month.A total of 2,670 homes were sold in the Greater Toronto Area in January, down 47 per cent from the 5,075 sold in the same month last year, the Toronto Real Estate Board said yesterday. The average selling price also dropped, sliding 8.2 per cent - more than $30,000 - to $343,632 from last year.
