When searching for an apartment do you look at ratings online? It just seems that people always write the bad and never the good, even at the apartment that I live right now, its not bad here just the normal apartment problems but when you look at online ratings everyone is saying only the bad things never anything good. Should I even look at them?
Any one know of any good websites for apartment reviews and ratings? Moving to lafayette La and im trying to find a good apartment any pointers?
Anyone know any good places to find apartment ratings? I already looked at apartmentratings.com and apartmentreviews.net....Any other good places to look for a ratings?
Apartment ratings on Yelp or ApartmentGuide? I've been looking around for an apartment, and when I looked at Yelp or ApartmentGuide, it seems like all the ratings for all the apartments are horrible. I wonder if I should take them seriously (like with restaurant ratings - which are mostly accurate) or with a grain of salt. Do the people who rate tend to be the rare truly dissatisfied bunch? Or, is it kind of like the ratings for car dealerships, where everyone expects too much? It seems like my family and friends who have lived in apartments always seem to have excellent relationships with the management and don't have problems. Is it that I'm looking at the wrong apartments, or is there a strong low-rating bias in reviews?
What are your ratings for Sims Seasons and Sims Apartment Life? Do you like the games listed up above? Also, rate them out of ten please! 10 being the best! What is your favorite expansion pack too!?!?
I gave the deposit for a new apartment in houston. Can i trust apartment ratings websites? I already gave the deposit to move into a safer apartment due to high crimes in my area. Someone's car tires were stolen a few weeks ago and a guys legs were shot and they took him to the hospital in the middle of the night. I told about this to as many people as i can since the management likes to keep it quiet. Anyway as much as 5-6 families are moving out soon and some already did. I saw this another apartment near by called meyergrove apts. I loved the place the people. it's about 30 mins from where i live right now . But something is worrying me - They have a sister property called Meyer oaks . I checked their ratings and its' only 62% in apartmentratings.com . But the apartment management i gave my deposit to , have a 100% rating. and they are all Great ratings. Now the sister property is only maybe 5 mins from this property. how's it that the sister property have 60% only rating and this property have 100%??? Can i trust them ?? i gave the deposit in a haste and didn't think too much. I talked to some guys outside the apartment who lived near by and they said " this is a great place to live"!! .- which i believe too.. but.... what do you think ??

Can anybody tell me if there is a reason why the apartment managers in South Carolina don't do any renovation on these old apartments that is cleary falling apart? Are they waiting for them to fase out and just blow them all up like they did the projects back in the 90's? People do move here from out of town looking for a place for themselves and their families. All these apartment complexes have bad ratings and all the ratings match up with each other. Managers why are these places not renovated? They are all so old,not fair for the rent being asked for these run down places. And let me add us people from up north do like living in apartment complexes not all of us come down here to buy homes. We are used to living in luxury apartments,so maybe that's why we complain about these run down apartments it is such a drastic change. Relocated for employment reasons.
What should I do? I am worried about moving because my apartment got bad ratings? On apt ratings my apt scored ok until recently. Residents are complaining of roaches, bed bugs, homeless people and 5 people sharing a studio apt. I am from the country and don't know a lot about the city. What should I do? The apt is in downtown DC and I got a great price for it. Ppl keep telling me to suck it up and welcome to the city :( ..... If I do decide to move in what do I do about 1) Bed bugs 2) homeless ppl 3) roaches 4) 5 ppl to an apt
Does anyone know the lowdown on my apartment complex in Harrisburg, PA? A friend and I are moving into a 2 bedroom apartment in The Brook at Colonial Park. Apartment Ratings showed a very low rating for this complex, but it did for any other one in Harrisburg, as well. The thing is, it's hard to base an opinion on this area due to a lot of the entries on apartmentratings.com being from a year or so ago (nothing recent). Therefore, does anyone know if it's okay now? Any things I should be aware of? I know there was shootings and a rape, but 2 years ago. I also notice that someone said that all of this happened in the front of the complex, but our apartment is in the very back...
Diff Apartments Ratings? Is there a website that offers apartment ratings from customers? Kind of like how ratemyprofessor.com offers ratings on teachers from colleges all over the U.S.
What are the best apartments for grad students in Lansing, Michigan? I plan on attending law school down there and I've been reading apartment ratings and they all scare me. Anyone know of an decent apartments for students? It's greatly appreciated.
What are some good apartments in ST charles MO? Looking for safe, nice apartments in St Charles. Am moving in October but the apartment ratings.com they don't have nice things to say about the apartments in St charles. HELP!
Questions to ask when looking at an apartment? Previously I thought I would get a condo but with condo fees, insurance, having to pay for repairs, and a down payment I just don't think I can comfortably pay for that. I will probably rent for at least a year, while looking at apartments, what questions should I ask? Is there a website that will tell me the ratings like if they actually fix peoples issues that need repaired I definitely don't want to be stuck with a broken toilet or anything.
Apartment in San Mateo/Burlingame? Hi, we would be moving to Bay area soon and I would like to know if there are any affordable 1BHK apartments under $1250 in San Mateo/Burlingame area. I have seen craigslist, rent.com and have gone thru the ratings in apartment ratings.com as well. Some of the apartments which seemed to be good but the review comments are pretty bad in some or other reason. So are there any genuinely good apartments from your experience in these areas within my budget ?
What is tax credit affordable housing? My boyfriend and I have been looking for a place to move into together and we found a place. The thing is it is $390.00 a month for rent because we make under 30% or something. Thats what the calculator on the website said. We are worried that it may be too good to be true though, however, the apartments on the apartment ratings website have been the highest I have ever seen in that neighborhood at a 89%! It states it is because it is a tax credit affordable housing complex. What does that really mean?
"are the biscayne bay apartments in Arizona a good place to live? "are the biscayne bay apartments in Arizona a good place to live? I can not find any arrticles of violence there, but I have seen some people on apartment ratings stating that it is a terrible place to live. Are they just angry ex-renters or are their statements true?"
Does apartment living just suck? I'm moving out this fall (for college) and I just put a deposit on an apartment that I want to reserve so I can look at it before I decide to rent. Then I went on to an apartment ratings site and found out the place had horrible ratings from people who lived there. Mind you, this apartment will be about 1400 a month to rent. I started to panic and decided to look at ratings for other apartments in the area. To my surprise, nearly ALL except the extremely expensive ones were rated horribly. Why is this? Does all apartment living just suck? Why is every single apartment I am looking at in a wealthy upscale area have horrible ratings from angry tenants? How can I know how an apartment will be before I live there? Should I trust this online rating system? Help me, fellow apartment dwellers! For instance - I see noise complaints on EVERY SINGLE complaint at every complex!
Help. Apartment. First time renter? I will be getting my first apartment in May of 2011. It will be me, my son, boyfriend and brother. We are going to get a 3 bedroom. So far I found one apartment that fits our price range and all utilities are paid. But on apartment-ratings.com they have a 52% recommendation from previous renters. I am fine with most of the stuff people say because that is your average apartment. What is bothering me is that I see almost everybody complains of leaks and the apartment complex not fixing the problem in a timely matter. I was wondering if I could get the complex to sign an agreement with me saying if they don't fix our problems within 2 weeks we dont have to pay rent that month or we can break our lease and move out. I know it sounds kinda crazy but I don't want to move in to somewhere and have a whole bunch of problems. I am a nursing student, have a kid and really who would want to put up with a lot of problems? The apartments in EL Conquistador in Ks.
Best apartment complexes in Las Vegas? I am moving to Las Vegas for work and will be traveling, so location isn't important. I heard northwest is nice and easy to avoid traffic. I also heard Henderson is nice. Location isn't that big of an issue for me. I am more concerned about safety, nice area, clean and well maintained property, and modern apartments. I am looking to spend around $700 for a 1 bedroom, but am willing to spend a little more if it is worth it. I have done some searching online, but keep looking up apartment complexes on Apartment ratings and am finding terrible reviews. My question is- I need NAMES of APARTMENT COMPLEXES that meet my needs so I can schedule some appointments. Thanks a bunch!
Need Apartment Recommendations Please!? My family and I are moving to the Dallas-Mid Cities area of Texas. I'm having a hard time choosing an apartment due to my not being in the area. I can only trust what i see online. I know pictures are worth a thousand words, but looks can be deceiving. I've tried agents, but they do get paid to promote the apartments, I've tried apartment ratings.com and have been disappointed that places I like aren't really recommended. Can anyone give me ideas on which apartments to look at based on experience or neighborhood? I do want a good school system for my 6 year old. We are looking at Keller, Colleyville, Southlake, Euless, Hurst, Grapevine. Our budget is $1000 2 bedroom. Thank you!
Scared of Apartment Living ? Ok so I married a girl in Mexico and lived with her there for several years. We had a baby together and I was working down there at a good job and everything was nice. We lucked out with an apartment that was new and also really nice for very cheap rent (even for Mexico), but after a couple of years they told us we were going to have to go (they wanted to rent is to someone else). So I started looking around for a job in the US so I could make better $ and live better and here we are. Problem is, even though I am making WAY better $ the cost of living is higher and we can't even rent a descent house. I thought once I got the good job it would be all 'American Dream' style, but not so much at all. We are living with my parents right now and my parents have a nice, big house but my wife is not at all down with the situation. So we have to hunker down in an apartment until I can figure out how to get back down to Mexico (life was just better there I think!). But I am nervous to get into an apartment now that I have a family and everything. I finally found one that I like, has a short-term lease, good location and the whole bit. But even then it got really low reviews on the Apartment Ratings website: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/CO-Centennial-Orchards-at-Cherry-Creek-Park.html So what do I do? Wife says she isn't happy unless we have our own space. But to me it just makes more sense to live with mom and dad and $ave up for a few months while looking around for another job that'll let me telecommute. What can I do to reassure myself that I can get along in an apartment for a few months?
Should I Trust The Reviews On Apartment Rating Sites? I'm Looking For An Apartment In Arlington/Grand Prairie TX And Seem To Have Found Some Good Ones ( I Think Anyway.) I Found This Website That Lets You Rate The Apartment Complex, But It Seems That Everyone Has Something Bad To Say About Them. These Are Some Pretty Upscale Apartments Too, Anyway I Don't Know If I Should Trust The Ratings Or Not. I Don't Want To Move Into An Apartment And End Up Hating It. Has Anyone Had Experience With These Websites And Found Them False??
how to tell if a townhouse will be quiet? I'm thinking of buying a townhouse or condo. How do I tell if it will be quiet, or if I can hear everything the neighbors do? I've been Googling trying to find sites that rate them but the only one's I've found are for apartment ratings. Is there any way to test while you are looking at a condo or townhome what the noise level will be like? @ travis... will realtors let you visit that late?
Am I being too picky with apartment searching? I want a decent apartment but I can't afford anything over 400 a month. Maybe 500 if I don't eat, lol. I would be living alone unless I can convince my sister to move with me but she says she wants to stay in the area we are now and I want to move out of state. I check out the apartment ratings on website and most of the ones I can afford say they have management and roach problems. I am a college student. Anyone have any tips when apartment searching? Are there any good websites I should check out?
What happens if I abandon my apartment w/o breaking lease? Before you all start lecturing me, hear me out. I can not, can NOT stand my apartment. They're ridiculous. Everything breaks and the maintenance and leasing office employees are rude, and unreasonable. I did not reply to a letter they gave me about renewing my lease, so they automatically rolled over a new lease instead of giving me the option of month to month. So anyways, now my lease won't be up until May and I refuse to stay here this long. They want $2000 to break the lease plus an early termination fee of $500 something. Well they have screwed me out of too much money already, I'm not going to give them that. Im sure I will eventually, but while I'm trying to move? No way. If I just pack my things up and leave, what kind of consequences will I endure? Also I was thinking of calling the New York office with all the things that I've had to go through with since I moved in and see if they'll let me break my lease for free, as a lot of people on apartment ratings told me that's what they did. (The apartments really are that bad). So what should I do first? Call the New York Office and then Call the leasing office and tell them I'm moving, the other way around, or should I just leave?
How do i check the safety of an apartment? I have a wife and a baby girl and i am worried about thier safety. I have tried to look up thier ratings on apartment ratings and its a mixed bag i cant tell who is lying and some look suspicious , i looked at the place and it isnt horrible but i could see why it could be potentially dangerous. I know theres a risk all the time when it comes to apartments and crime has no address but i just want my family to be ok , i thought about buying a gun to protect myself and only keeping it in the home , i just dont know what to do and how to do it.
What is the best way to purchase an apartment with NO MONEY DOWN? I have heard about financing 80% and having the seller carry 20% but most properties where sellers are willing to do this are just not viable. I currently own and have been managing a duplex for 4 years and would like to expand into more units/properties. I have considered going through a hard money lender but most of them still want 15% investment from me. Shame to say I don't have that kind of capital available. I have also considered doingan assumable loan deal where I try to assume the existing loan on the property, but I am not sure if its anything like the regular home loan assumptions. I have sought advise from some lenders and brokers, but the brokers are always approaching form the perspective of charging as many fees as they can get away with and I am not sure if I can trust them, seeing as my own buyers agent was somewhat misleading when I purchased my home. I see a lot of really great properties in my area that have really great financial s, and the tenants don't poop on them on apartment ratings that I would like to buy. I guess if anyone knows any other creative way I can finance with very minimal out of pocket costs or know a lender that will work with me, I would appreciate a response.
Does anyone know anything about Dominion on Lake Lynn Apartments in Raleigh, NC? They looked really nice when i was looking at them online but then when i went to the apartment ratings website everyone was saying how awful they were.
Thinking about moving to Southside on Lamar in Dallas, TX. Any positive or negative comments? Wanting to move to Southside on Lamar in Dallas, TX and I am curious if it is a good place or a bad place to move. Looking for some more current reviews than those on the apartment ratings website.
Is there a site for apartment reviews? I am tired of moving into these piece o crap apartments that look real good at the entrance and when you move in everything looks like a shanty. Is there a site that has ratings and reviews for apartments? For example, Yelp is a rating and review site for restraunts. I have tried apartmentratings.com but a lot of the reviews are outdated or not enough to make me believe them.

Renting an apartment flat in Edinburgh? Hi - I'm relocating abroad this year and was looking for a modern apartment in Edinburgh that is close to the university. Can anyone speak to the Lady Nicholson apartments on Potterrow? It's also a hotel (aka Spiegel Hotel) that has pretty good ratings. It's a tad expensive - but I have yet to see other units in the private market that can match the finishings and 'newness' of this....that is also within a 5 minute walk to the Library.
What are the best websites that I can read and post reviews, ratings, and salary info about jobs for free? Basically like ratemyprofessors.com for college professors. Apartmentratings.com for Apartments. What is one for jobs and/or companies so I know which ones to look out for and stay away from and so I can put some personal experience with any specific employer as well.

First Apartment Questions before signing? I've never lived in a apartment building so i have some questions for those who have.. First off- Its a 1st flr one bedroom, the apartment above is a one bedroom (occupied by a couple) I asked if they had carpet or wood floors she didnt give me a direct answer.. only that the tentants above are required to have rugs if they have wood floors. How do I get a direct anser on that? Also is there anything i should keep my eye out on in the lease agreement? The apartments have great ratings- the only problem is the parking sucks.. Any suggestions? Thanks
Credit ratings and approvals during current economy? What do you think about peoples' ability to obtain credit or even get approved with the way things have been lately? How do you see apartments approving people who have terrible credit now? Do you think its going to get more loose with standards because people have lost their job, or they are trying to get back on their feet?

Im relocating to Charlotte NC...Any good inexpensive townhomes/ Apartments you have lived in and were good? My main concerns are the area safety, noise, and a lot of in and out traffic, along with bugs and over all quality. Apartment ratings.com is hard to trust!
Nice apartment/condo building in Winter Park/Maitland Florida? I'm moving to the Orlando area and I want to stay in maitland or Winter park, as those areas have been specifically recommended. Apartmentratings.com has proven to be a nightmare as there are all kinds of weird remarks and bad ratings. I'm asking for advice from someone who lives somewhere nice, in this area, to offer an apartment name. I'd like a 2 bedroom for a computer room, but I really only need a 1 bedroom under $900 a month. Thanks for reading.
Apartment reviews in ontario? I live in Ontario, and i am apartment searching. I've come across two that I really like. both come out to the same amount except one is extra for under ground parking. The second one I saw, I liked the lay out better. But maintenance of the building is questionable. Does anyone know of a website that i could go to to see ratings and reviews of these apartments? i tried searching online but could not find a reliable one.
Apartment recommendations near Disney...? I am looking for apartments near Disney (in the Lake Buena Vista area or nearby). With so many different apartment complexes and so many negative ratings/reviews, it is hard to find the decent places out. Can anyone offer recommendations of good apartments to live in? Either personal experience or what they've heard from friends. I need either a studio or one bedroom. Thank you! I'm looking for a good apartment, gated community is optional. Cost is a consideration but, I'm looking into everything at this point. Moving in with my boyfriend, so two people in the apt. I have looked at that website but, a lot of places are not reviewed or have mainly negative comments. Sadly, my current place (Vista Way) has the best rating! It is fun but, not a good apartment when it comes down to it.
What are some drawbacks/advantages ( if any ) in living in an apartment complex with elderly people? i found a luxury aprtment complex i plan to lease but when i checked its ratings, many said the apt was filled with ppl over 45, 55. Are there any security issues? Is there something i am missing?

If anyone use to live there, or is living there can i get your opinions? i read the ratings at apartmentratings.com but i just need more comments on it. The price and location just seems too good to be true. so PLEASE let me know! and if anyone has photo's of the rooms, that would be really helpful. Theres not alot of info on the apartment online.
What are some good apartments in Galveston? I'm going to be a freshman at A&M in Galveston this fall and me and my roommate have been looking for an apartment. Our school ran out of housing so we are frantically looking for an apartment. I looked at a few that looked good, but I later got on to look at ratings and they we're horrible! We we're seriously considering Newport at Campeche Cove, but I don't know what to think now. I'm just looking for a place that's clean, some what modern, and safe. Any suggestions?
can i afford this apartment? first off, i live in hawaii. oahu to be exact. me and my friend have been searching for an apartment together for a month now. but alot of places are denying us because we are both first timers. we found an apartment which is by far the nicest that we have seen yet. they are willing to accept us, but the rent is 1550 a month. and we have to pay utilities. the way the utilities work is they take the whole sum of the energy and water used in the entire unit, add it all up and divided by the heads occupying the complex.so since there are two of us, we each would have to pay our own. the sales woman says that it is around 50 dollars per person which is do-able. and all the ratings on the net that i have found about the place say the same thing about the utilities, but they think it is a scam. i bring home about 1500 sometimes more a month. she brings home around 2000. and her boyfriend is moving in as well, which is totally fine for me, but he has agreed to pay only 250 and the utilities. so her and i would only pay 650 each for each month. with a monthly income of 1500, would this be a good move? or should i bail before i sign any lease? we have to sign next week, please help! oh, and i have no bills except for car insurance. cell phone was a gift from dad, so he willingly pays for it so we can keep in touch. and it is in a really convinient location to everything including both of our jobs. sorry this is so long. if not this, then back to the mainland. which i dont want to do,i need to finish my school first. i wish i could find something in that range. everything here is expensive. you cant find a studio here for that. thats why we have so much homeless. but the place already accepted us though. it was either him pay 250 plus the utilities which would come to about 400 or me paying half and her and him split her half. ehich is what the sales lady said was typical. he is a marine and he only gets so much a month because they dont provide housing allowance to the marines who are not married or have children here in hawaii. this agreement was the only thing to get him to move in. we both have not so good credit and he has great credit. enough about the boyfriend, should i? or should i not?? taking a look at the numbers bring home 1500 rent 650 utilities paid for car insurance 53 work is two blocks away so gas no more than 60 a month ive never spent more than 150 in groceries a month and thats when i splurged place comes with cable place comes with washer and dryer and got another job. i have to do it. i have no other choice, hawaii is just way way too expensive. only for six more months though
Apartment forces renters insurance on tenants...bad sign? We are looking at an apartment complex, and they told us that they force all of their tenants to get renters insurance. We thought this was a good idea and therefore a good complex, but we have also seen online ratings that talk about tentants getting their places broken into within the apartment. Like 4 out of 10 tentants complained about this online. Is this a bad sign, and do you think by doing this the apartment is covering themselves so they won't be liable for any thefts?
Portable Air Conditioners - Do they really work? We have a really small apartment (900 sq ft) and it faces south/west (maximum sun exposure). The building does not have air conditioning and the windows are not desigend to support standard window mounted air conditioners. We are nervous to buy a portable air conditioner. I read consumer reports and they gave portable air conditioners very poor ratings. Have you tried them and do they work? If you have had a positive experience, which one would you recommend?
Can anyone suggest any apartments in Jacksonville- Southside area? I'm planning to move to Jacksonville FL soon and i'm interested in the Southside area. Looking for rent no more than $750 but i'm willing to pay a couple hundred more for a really nice and perfect apartment complex. I've looked at apartmentguide.com and rent.com but when I go to apartmentratings.com the ones im interested have horrible ratings. Thanks for the help :)
First time apartment renters....help!? (sorry for re-post...didn't get any answers before...please help!) This will be the first apartment my boyfriend and I move into. We have a dog that's 50 lbs and we found an apartment a while back that is perfect for us. It is very reasonably priced! We visited it and it is beautiful indoors and out! They will also allow our 50 lb dog. The only downside (and I mean the ONLY one) are the online reviews. There is NO good reviews at all. I don't know what to do. Here's the review site I looked at...I can't find any others... http://www.apartmentreviews.net/ratings/new-mexico/Albuquerque/the-retreat-at-candelaria.htm Here's their website.... http://www.retreatatcandelaria.com/1/Albuquerque-New-Mexico-Apartments/ PLEASE HELP US! What should we do? Are online reviews really reliable? I know the hotel ones aren't usually reliable. They all have bad experiences but I always like the hotels they hate... ??????
Tips for an apartment in the Kansas City area? Moving there for work, don't know the area at all.? I am moving to Kansas City from Michigan in a week and a half. I have been hunting down apartments like crazy, checking apartmentratings.com, etc, and I keep coming up short. I find a place I like, but the ratings suck. I know that sometimes people only rate it when they have problems, soooo, help me! I will be working at AMC Theatres Home Office at 920 Main St, Kansas City, MO. I need a 1 or 2 Bedroom Apartment for 400-600/mo. Must have high speed access (doesn't seem to be an issue, but putting it out there). In unit Washer/Dryer would be great! Also would prefer central air not window units. So if anyone lives/has lived in any nice apartments around there, I would be so happy to hear about it. I want to stay within 20 minutes drive, the shorter the better. A safe neighborhood is my main concern as well.
Neighborhood Ratings Website? I'm looking for apartments in Long Beach, and surrounding areas. I'd like to know if there's a website where you search for an address, and it gives you a rating of the neighborhood. I know Google will give you a "walkscore" rating, which measures how easily you can walk to convenient locations. I wonder if you can get a similar score for the quality of a neighborhood. If not, I'd like to give someone a list of potential addresses, and have them rated. Thanks a lot.
Has anyone ever lived in the Highwood Place Apartments in Louisville Kentucky? I am moving to Louisville and I would like to learn more about Highwood Place apartments but I can't find their ratings anywhere on the internet.

How can I find a safe, quality apartment in/near Carrollwood for a soon-to-be USF graduate student? I'm looking for a 1 BR apartment in a safe location where I won't have to worry about my car, my belongings, or my own personal safety. Carrollwood seems like the place to go, due to proximity to USF and the highways (so I can get to the beaches quickly). However, every complex I come across online receives terrible ratings and reviews, and I keep hearing conflicting information from people whom I ask for advice! Craigslist is mostly junk ads, and the sites like Rent.com and Forrent.com show complexes that look fantastic but get trashed by their supposed tenants on ratings websites. I'm looking to spend no more than $750-800 at an absolute maximum including all utilities. I'll have two cats, must have safe parking, and would like a pool, a decent amount of space and a relatively updated apartment. Am I out of luck, or can someone help me out with advice on specific places or ways to search? I'm not in Tampa now but will be flying down in about a month for a day or two. Thanks!
Are apartment reviews usually bad? Just rented an apartment and casually went to look online at reviews. For the whole place I could only find about 15 reviews and a majority of them were saying how bad the place was. I was wondering if this wasn't normal. I seems like common sense to me that most of the people who write reviews are the extreme end of the spectrum. ( Either their pissed because they don't follow the rules or because they are nitpicky.) Therefor the majority of ratings is low when really it's not that bad of a place. Do you think the bad reviews overshadow what the place is really like because people tend to exaggerate?
Best apartments in ATL? Okay, so I've checked apartment ratings, I've browsed what feels like hundreds of apartments... What's your pick for the BEST apartments in ATL? I'm looking for something preferably in Fulton or Dekalb counties, mostly in the city of atlanta (Sandy Springs and North Springs excepted) and some place that you LOVED. Thanks so much, um... wow, I don't know this--what do you call a person from atlanta? haha. hopefully you can help with that too! Atlantian, Atlantaite, Atlantan?
Any good, safe apartments in Central New Jersey? I will be moving to Central New Jersey near Rutgers Livingston Campus. I checked for apartments on rent.com, and apartmentguide.com. The prices are all high but that was expected but the ratings on apartmentratings.com for all the apartments that I've looked at are absolutely frightening. Does any one have any experience with a good, clean, affordable and SAFE apartment complex in Central NJ (preferably near Rutgers livingston campus)? Thank you.
Safe cities in Florida? Planned on moving from Chicago to Orlando. However, it seems as if the crime is worse over there than in Chicago. Are there any areas similar to Orlando or near orlando that is safe to raise kids? I have a 3year old and a my wife is 7months preg. I heard Lake Mary is a good area, however, we will need to rent for a few years, as nice as they say the area is, I went to apartment ratings and it seems like every apartment complex is gang infested. Any recommendations?
Has anyone ever done Nielsen ratings? (I just did; need help)? I just did a radio diary for Nielsen. Each person in my apartment is getting $22 for doing it. How long does it take them to send you the money? wizbangs - You just made no sense whatsoever.
What specifics should I look for when purchasing new tires? I have a 2000 Mercury Villager, which is a mini van. I know what I need is P225/60R16. But what about the other ratings to consider? Like the load, speed, should I lean more toward all weather or better rating for winter? I live in Wisconsin so I know I need something good for the snow, but we do get summer here too. LOL. I travel 4 miles to work on fairly good road. But when it snowed I felt like I could have floated off the road and I had the darnedest time driving up the hill to my apartment parking lot. Both the driveway and the car were new to me last winter, so I am looking for the right tires to remedy the problem. Also my daughter is new driver, I know there is no way she could handle the car the way I did under those conditions. So please help me out with the combination I should look for so I can start checking prices.
regal pointe apartments florida? Ok, so Lake Mary Florida is supposed to be a great area. The apartment complex that I am looking into is Regal Pointe, I went to apartment ratings.com and there were good ratings and horrible ratings. I don't know which one to believe. I would just go and check out there area but I live in Chicago, and we are on a tight budget (reason for moving to this complex) so, I dont want to make unnecessary trips. Is anyone familiar with this complex? is it decent? safe? I have a toddler and a baby, when I go to work I dont want to have to worry about my wife and children being in danger.
Credit Ratings and Loans? I just got turned down for a loan on a ATV.. I'm just wonding what the hell I have to do to get a loan. Last I checked my credit score was in the 700's and I have been making payments on a car on time every time for over 2 years now. I don't have a high paying job, $10 an hour, but I have had it over a year and have lived in the same place for over 6 years. I've not been unemployed since I was in Highschool 17 years ago. I rent an apartment. What is it really that loan companies look for? and what do I need to do to start being approved for them? (if you really don't know, please don't answer, only serious real answers please [I will give a negative vote for all the stupid answers]) I am very fustrated..
question about a web site? anybody can u reall depend on apartment ratings website to help you out with information or is a lot of it false.
Can someone tell me about this Credit Ratings? Me and my fiancee are trying to get an apartment, but alomost 2 years ago, he did a filed a small bankruptcy. On June of 2010 that would all clear up from he's credit history. He would be the main applicant, as we were reading the application it said "credit ratings between 6 and 9 would not be acceptable, and credit ratings between 1 and 5 are acceptable. What does that mean? He has a credit score of 650 at this time. We had applied for a house before and they told him he would have to wait 2 years before he can get a house, they told him they needed a two year wait period from the time he did his bankruptcy, then he would qualify.
Moving to West Orlando, good places? Maybe I'm expecting a lot but I'm starting work on Sandlake in three weeks and am looking for a nice studio or duplex or whatever in THAT area, I found quite a few in the Millenia area, but after looking at the apartment ratings online, I'm just really struggling. I have a ridiculous car payment, and was hoping to pay somewhere b/w 500 and 650. Also I want to have my own place (no roommates) and they must accept dogs. Thanks for ANY help and any inside information.
A friend and I are moving in together come this June, what are some good Indianapolis apartments? My price range is about $600 altogether, plus or minus $50 at the most. I'm planning on going to Ivy Tech in the Fall or Spring and I need something in easy access of downtown Indianapolis. I've searched everywhere I can online and I've checked Apartment Ratings, but the ones that I've looked at either are a non-recommendation or not there period. If you don't have any advice about certain apartments, then any advice about finding them would be more than welcome.
moving to houston ....? apartments!!!! Ive looked on apartment ratings and every time i chose one it has bad ratings. Where do you stay ? Im looking for Spring, Humble, and northern houston apartments. How do you like where you stay ?
Can someone tell me about South Dallas? I am looking for apartments in South Dallas. I wanted to know where are the safest, and nice apartments are. When I say safe I mean somewhere you wouldnt mind your mother or sister living. My price range is $500-$600. Please feel free to give me some names of different apartment complex. PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME ABOUT RENT.COM, APARTMENT.COM, APARTMENT RATINGS, ETC. I WANT TO HEAR PLACES YOU HAVE LIVED OR WOULD LIKE TO LIVE. I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE IT.
Risk the Move to Seattle or Stay Put in Small Town? I'm from Oregon and now have been unemployed for awhile. I've lost all hope of landing a job in my city (even though I have a M.A degree, no one will hire me). Now in order to get job prospects I have been looking in Seattle and a couple of people are interested in me. I figured Seattle might be better for job prospects, so I'm planning a move there. However, I'm floored by the cost of living an apartment rents. I don't think I can cut it out there financially, and I checked apartment ratings and there seems to be alot of shady landlords and bad neighborhoods and bad reviews for the apartments withing my budget range (about $600-700 a month). Also, it seems like landlords jack up the rent by 20-30% after a lease (which I didn't think was legal). So, I don't know if it is a better choice--- to stay put where I pay only $500 for an apartment and save on gas (but have NO job prospects), or live in Seattle and pay huge amounts on rent and gas, but could get a job? Help! BTW, I love Seattle....I think its a great town. I just don't think I can afford to live there without living in the ghettos. Also, I CAN'T do the roommate thing. My disable sister (who might have a tough time getting a job), will be living with me. No one will take couples in a roommate situation (and I have a cat)! Thanks for your help!

my first move- any tips? i've lived in the same place my whole life, and now i am moving to maryland in a matter of months. i will be renting an apartment, and of course i do not expect to strike gold on my first move. but i would like some suggestions so that i'm not in a complete shithole. i've researched my target places online with apartment ratings websites already. when i go to visit them before moving, what are 'good' and 'bad signs' that i should i look for? what types of questions should i ask? i don't even know what to ask you guys, any type of advice at all would be welcome. thanks!
Can a landlord not accept your rent because we turned them into the Better Buisness Berua? My boyfriend turned them in for numerous of reasons, one reason being not accepting the rent another time before because they charged us with a fine but never gave a written notice. Now they wont accept the rent because he turned them in and wrote a bad review on apartment ratings.com. There are at lease 50 bad reviews for this place. This in Columbus Ohio. She also has no proof that it was him with that ratings cause it was done under annoymous. Can she really not accept the rent?
moving to austin, with a HUGE dog, PLEASE HELP!!? I'm moving to austin in about a month, and i have a 150 lb english mastiff!! she's not on any apartment's agressive breed lists, its just finding a place that doesn't have a weight limit thats a problem. All the places I've found the apartment ratings site says are in "the ghetto".. coming from San antonio, I can't imagine the "ghetto" in austin can even compare, but I dont want to take my chances. If anyone knows where I can find a decent two bedroom where I can have my amazing dog, please help me. Thanks in advance! (I need a place on or near the UT shuttle, so way north austin is out!)
HELP! SLUM LORD CHECK?!? Okay so I looking for a new place and found one (yipee!!) But... I need to find out as much about this place as possible...it's a condo. I've tried Apartment Ratings (website), and found nothing...tried, "Googling" the name of the condo....nothing negative.... I've already checked out the community, and it's extremely affluent, but I've lived in affluent DUMPS bbefore too...and don't intend to do it again if I can help it. I'm in Georgia by the way...please help...I don't want wake up to strange critters in bed with me (ants, roaches, rats, mice, etc.), plumbing issues, etc. It is an older building (built in the 50's), with a large elderly community and appears that they keep it up well...but it is OLD. The condo itself is nice looking.... C'mon peeps...help me out if you can...do you know of any sites I can go to and check out this place? Thank you!! Expert Realitor... I love you, I really do....I just don't understand why I keep coming across people in your profession who are so HELL BENT on being CURT and RUDE when giving their, "expertise" I DID go and see the place my dear...this weekend, and I'm very big on checking out a place before moving in....which is precisely WHY I'm making inquiries....I've been looking and researching since AUGUST knowing that my lease was up in October...if that ain't planning, I don't know what is.... ....as you should know (and I know you do)....looks can be deceiving.....some of the most upscale communities have the greatest issues...and it starts with the management who oddly enough, have the same (smart alleck) attitude that you do. I do however want to take this time and thank all others for their advice...I really appreciate it.
I am a young woman going to be living/working in DC soon, close to George Washington University.? I am going to be living in DC soon. I am totally frustrated trying to find a reliable apartment online but every one I look up has negative ratings listed on www.apartmentratings.com. I don't want to live in a bug infested, maintenance problem place. Please, please give me suggestions of apartments that are safe, within walking distance to a metro, and do not have bugs and hotwater problems.
Has anyone heard of Alborada Apartments in Fremont? My boyfriend and I are going to move in there, but we've been reading lots of bad reviews for the place. Does anyone know anything about the place? Also, where can we find trustworthy information about it. We've looked at several apt. ratings sites but how do we know those aren't just disgruntled ex-inhabitants of the apartments?
Are there any great apartments in FL? Were looking for a nice resort like apartment complex in FL. Ive been looking with in about 25 miles around the orlando area but to the west side. It seems whenever I find something nice I go to the ratings website and everyone hates it there! I am starting to feel that I won't find a nice apartment complex to move to. please tell me I'm wrong.
Do you think my neighbors will be able to hear my sub woofer in my apartment ? This is my first home theatre package I bought...so I'm a little uneducated when it comes to the power ratings and how loud they are. Here is my set : http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HT-TX75-Home-Theater-System/dp/B000PU6MBQ There are 2 sets connections on the back of the sub....and I only have 1 set plugged in....plus its on its lowest setting (-6) I currently have it sitting on a book, which is sitting on a roll of packing tape to lessen the contact with the ground (ghetto?) until I get my SubDude I keep it low all the time....i dont watch movies....but the loudest things are like explosions during PS3 games. The walls are concrete....but when the person above me vacuums, its pretty loud....its woken me up when shes decided to vacuum at 8 a.m. on a saturday.... So im worried about the people below me. Do you think they will be able to hear it without the subdude? With subdude ?
Credit score ratings!!? I have debt of 5000.00, and got behind, and now I am current on my debt but when I got behind on my debt it dropped by credit from 690 to 580. So, now i figured i would moving back home to pay off my debt, I have recently got a raise income thats significant. So i figured in the amount I was paying at my apartment and its utilities i can apply that allto my loan and pay it off in 2 months. Will this help my credit score? SO is paying off my debt so quickly going to hurt my credit?
