Austin Paralegals are you having issues with jobs posted on Craigslist? I keep running into issues with paralegal job postings on Austins Craigslist & staffing firms. Most of the jobs posted don't list a name, they only request a resume and then you later find out it is with a staffing firm. So far Ultimate Staffing & Ajilon suck!!! They take your resume and then you never hear from them again. Someone suggested linkedin.com but so far there is only one job posting. Does anyone have any suggestions on where else to look for a legitimate posting?

I love craigslist, but in my local area (1 and a half hrs from austin), there is no craigslits for that area, so I created a group on Facebook called Hill Country Swap Shop, Sale & Barter. Okay, i was just on craigslist austin...? And some whiney dorks were complaining about women being as shallow as they claim men are. They are suggesting to women that they look further than the physcial appearance of a man, and take a look at his soul. (Im paraphrasing) They claim that the majority of women on dating sites have been "dumped" and or cheated on by good looking men. Question is: how many of you women have dated a man who some would consider to be unattractive? And can you objectively look at your significant other right now and say that he isnt attractive or is even ugly? Would you date someone who you viewed as ugly? If no woman can honestly say she would date an ugly man, then isnt it time we stop accusing only men of being shallow?

craigslist scam through ebay Purchase Protection Program? I found a new 32gb iphone 3G S on craigslist in my local city, Austin. I contacted the seller and said he said he was in the UK and that I could pay him through the eBay "Purchase Protection Program." I looked up the ebay PPP and found that the ebay PPP was discontinued in 2007. http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/esppp-process.html Contained in the email is this: "Step 2. Go to nearest Western Union Office. Ask for a Send Money form, fill it and make the payment using our employer details listed below ( Transfer the money to our employer using his name and address )." That makes it seem legit, but the whole process still seems kind of sketchy. Also within the email, there is a link taking me to truste.org. I clicked the link and it told me this was a legit authorized retailer. I explored the site a bit and found all kinds of customer protection programs and information. So is this a scam or real? Moving to Austin at the end of December (From Seattle). Good / bad timing ? Any Moving and Rental tips? I plan to move to Austin at the end of December to attend UT the following Spring. Yeah it is during the holiday season, because I am just planning to just drive there with my friend. That is the only good time both of us (school holiday and what not). We will probably start to drive on the 26th or 27th after Christmas. I plan to just drive there to save money on moving. I don't own too much valuables. I believe it is cheaper to throw or donate away stuffs and buy new ones in Austin than moving them. Among my most valuable stuffs are my laptop and a $400 simmons beauty rest mattress. The beautyrest bed is my headache. But I believe it is still cheaper not to move it. =( About the driving part : Google estimates 37 - 39 hours from Seattle to Austin depends on routes. I plan to take the I-5 S route south. Because of the heavier Snow in the Interiors.. And I plan to skip the mountainous Southern Oregon and NorCAL I-5. I am gonna take the hwy 101 (beach road) instead to skip the snowy mountains there. Is 3 days/2 nights for the trip a safe bet ?? Planning to drive 6-8 hrs per person per day / 12-16 hours a day total. I have driven 8 hours before, but that was summer on my trip to Norcal. Now about the Austin part: I am staying in a hotel or guest house for few days and look for rental. 1) I am projecting 5-14 days in hotel, until I found and moved in to my apt. Is this a good projection ? 2) It seems that most rentals in Austin uses leasing agents (even for regular apts) -> from what I see on craigslist. Here in the NW, u go straight to the apt manager.. leasing agencies are only reserved for upscale condos or renting houses. Why is that ? Is it a state / city law? So when u pass by an apartment .. u like it.. then are you gonna see the remax sign for rent something like that there ? 3) Will the holiday season make it more difficult to hunt for a rental ? Craigslist scam or not? Saw an ad on Craigslist for a 2004 Volvo s60 R asking price $4550. It has 70,000 miles on it. Kelly blue booked it, turns out it is way below the price it should be. The guys says the car is in North Dakota, but the ad I saw is in Austin, TX. I also find the very same ad in Miami, Central Michigan, Dallas, Houston and Los Angeles. Im sure there are more, just havent looked. He says that he can get free shipping to have the car shipped to Austin, so that i can check it out. What i don't understand is why is the car so cheap and why is it listed in so many different cities? Is this a scam or is this guy doing some over-advertising? I saw another ad of a guy saying he's never been there before, and he'd be going with less than $1000 and may have to stay in a shelter until he could find a job and a place. I am with a broker who specializes in commercial real estate and am working a few of those deals the leads for which I generated through word of mouth. It takes time for those to close so I proposed a website to my broker to catch a few leads for apartment locating. Austin,Tx- I am having trouble finding a good home for a dog I rescued! Female Pit Bull, any ideas? I rescued a female pit bull about a year ago after she was found pregnant in an abandoned trailer. I have successfully rehomed all of her pups, and have worked with her a lot to get her to trust people again. She is an amazing dog! She is so sweet and loving, good with all of my other dogs, my cat, and both of our kids, ages 3 and 7. I have had her spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, on hw prevention, and am offering to supply everything needed such as food, 6 month supply of hw prevention, toys, bed, blanket, chews for a small adoption fee of only $50 which is a negotiable fee. I have posted an ad on craigslist, and on LuckyMutts Rescue website. I am having trouble finding her a good loving home because of her breed. Any ideas, or is anyone in my area interested in adopting a hug-a-"bull"? unfortunately, i am unable to keep her because I have 3 dogs of my own and have just returned to school full time so I cannot afford to foster her anymore. Also, my oldest male pit has begun picking on her and I do not want these arguements to evolve into full-blown fights...which they are bound to do with pitties. Plus, the reason I kept her so long was to help rehabilitate her and now she is more than ready to move on. And for "Rhonda C"...if there was any "professional" in the area that was willing to accept her, I would have been more than happy to let them handle it but since they all just wanted to put her down, I think you are wrong. She will not end up in a bad home, because everytime I rehome a rescued dog (and I have found homes for about 12-13 strays including her pups) I do interviews and follow up visits and check on the animals to be sure they are being taken care of. All of the animals I have rehomed are well taken care of. I make sure of that. Is this a good tank for breeding angelfish? I was talking to an angelfish breeder.I told her that on the internet it said I would only need a 15 gallon tank to breed angel fish, she told me that you would need 1 male, and 2 females, and at LEAST a 30 gallon tank. Was I done wrong? Long story short, I found a car I liked on Craigslist. The seller advertised it for $1500 but came down to $900 as soon as I expressed serious interest. The car was about 200 miles away from me, so I had "Lemon Busters" go out to inspect the car. They said it was fine. So the buyer and I arranged for a day, date, and time to meet to complete the sale. I made travel arrangements (car rental and hotel reservations) down to Austin. The day before I leave, he calls and says that he sold the car for a higher amount to someone who lived in Austin. We had a verbal agreement that I was going to buy the car. Was I done wrong?

how do I find a large open space for 1-2 week rental to do art installation? I am trying to find a space in Austin, TX to set up an art installation so I can photograph it for exhibition proposals. I need 1500-2000 square feet, white walls, neutral floors and to be able to hang stuff on the walls. Few windows and high ceilings are best. I would like to find a space to rent for 1-3 weeks or part time (perhaps a couple days a week for a month or two). I am very flexible with the schedule, for example could fit in between leases use the space on weekends or other days it is empty. I've called warehouse owners and a few real estate agents, and nobody has been willing to do something so short term. Also posted an ad on craigslist and talked to a guy with a karate studio, but it has mirrors and wierd colors on the wall. Any ideas on how to find something like this? What kind of places would have space like this that would be open to letting me use the space under such terms?
