Why does Career builder want to charge me money? I just finished registering with Career builder, posted my resume and am about to create a cover letter, although I do have my own. Why do they charge for certain services. I understand they are providing a service and it's not that I don't feel it's right to charge but it has to do with the fact that in a way it defeats the purpose as I need to first find a job, work, get paid and then contribute. It makes sense to me.

Have you ever gotten a job on career builder? All I'm getting back are SPAM responses... I'm so frustrated... Granted I've only been looking for less than a week... but since I recently earned my AA I was hoping to have a better response than I did in previous job searches... am I just being unrealistic or does it just take time to hear back about an application through career builder?
I have a question about career builder? I live in Chicago and I am thinking of moving to Los angles or miami! my question is? i have a career builder account for los angeles...and i want to make a new account with a different email for miami.. would that be a problem? would recruiters find out i have my resume on 2 diff accounts in 2 diff cities?
Has anyone posted a resume' on Career Builder with any luck? Since I have been on Career Builder, I have rec'd several emails with a set interview time in the email. I am employed full time. If I were interested, how would I apply? Do they have many people call to show up for this type of interview? Does this type of marketing work? All is does is frustrate me because it seems there are several jobs out there, but unless you can attend the "webinar" during the day, or go to an interview at 10:00 AM, then I guess we don't have a chance. I don't understand what has become of the job market. I've called these people who have requested that I call (when they wanted me to call) and have not had the call returned. I've seen so many links from so many emails to so many web sites that only want to sell us job seekers something. It makes me wish we could go back to just having the black and white classified ads in the city newspaper. That we could count on. I'm very disappointed. I wonder if others are also. Feedback?
Would you trust data entry on career builder? Would you trust the work from home data entry on career builder? It says up to $950 a week, $25 - $75 an hour, with an avg. bonus of $9,300. This just sounds like a scam to me but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure.
has anyone ever got a job thru Career Builder or Monster? I have never received a response from any job I have applied for thru either site. I HAVE however received lots of unwanted calls from MLM, insurance companies looking for commissioned sales people and found plenty bogus of jobs. If you have actually been hired thru either site, can you tell me your story? Wondering if i'm just wasting my time.
Is it worth paying for a Career Builder account upgrade in my job search? My husband has been searching for a job for four months and so far no interviews. He has a great resume, education, experience, background, and portfolio...no reason why he shouldn't have some interest out there. Upgrading puts his resume to the top of a employers list when they do a search...worth it?
What should you do if you can't find a job? I've looked at monster, career builder, and other job sites.? I've also tried looking for jobs in person. And when there is a job that I want to apply there's nothing that fits my schedule because i'm a student. I am not picky about what job I get, I just want a job, period. Especially since i'm racking up a student loan bill. I've never had so much trouble getting a job but this 'depression' in our economy has made it seem like finding a job for me is hopeless. Help. I just want a job.

need help with the resume title for career builder? I recently completed my bachelor degree in Interior Design. Since I don't have any experience in the field I'm not sure what to write in the resume title: 1) entry-level interior designer, or 2) seeking entry-level position in interior design. What do you think? thanks!!
Was anyone else appalled by the Career Builder ad with the chimp? I just saw, for the second time, an ad for Career Builder which shows a man in a public bathroom going pee and a chimp is going beside him and chattering away to him. It makes no sense and is the worse unprofessional ad I've seen. Don't the people from Career Builder know how bad the ad is or do you think they just don't give a darn?
Career Builder/Monster.Com? Has anyone here ever landed a good job using Career Builder of Monster.com? I am curious to use these sites but I have never actually heard of anyone actually getting a good job from either. Or they seem to just apply for months and months and nothing ever comes of it. I would be curious to know if anyone ever actually had a good story to tell about either.

Career builder/resume question? I just applied for a job via Careerbuilder.com...I uploaded by cover letter and resume and sent it to the employer. Prior to this, I did not have my resume uploaded on the website at the time. When i sent my resume, it uploaded onto the website but the word.doc of my resume but the formatting was way off. It does NOT look like this in word. Is the copy that shows on career builder the one that the employer will see for the job that I applied to??? Or will it be e-mailed to them the way it actually looks in my word.doc. I'm realy worried-- not sure how to fix this.
