we live in low income housing and this is pissing me OFF? My hubby and I live in low income housing and I am four days overdue with baby number one. Everyone says I should be getting plenty of rest, but I can't bc our noisy neighbors keep blaring their music, banging on the walls, & when their kid screams/cries they just scream back at him to shutup & don't do anything. Yet she still lets them stay there. We reported them to housing authority but the caseworker said she needs a file of complaints (police reports) even though he is not supposed to be there. Isn't there anything we can do? Last time we reported the guy, the cops didn't even come and check out what was going on. We called bc the two were screaming at each other/fighting/ect and throwing stuff around. They never seem to STOP. We are getting so tired of this. It's not fair that we have to lose sleep and peace + quiet because of them. They are really inconsiderate (my hubby works nights, I feel so bad bc they blast their music morning, noon, and night) and he doesn't get to have any rest. Why do they want to build low-income housing in Sunnyvale, Texas? The housing authority accuses Sunnyvale of being racist against minorities because they do not provide low income or multi-unit housing. Seems to me that the housing authority is implying that only minorities use low income housing and are incapable of mortgaging a home. Unless the town of Sunnyvale has a rule not allowing minorities to move there, or takes actions to make minorities who do live there uncomfortable than there is nothing racist about it. It just bugs me.. why do they want to ruin a nice town? And Sunnyvale is a small town, too, with large lots and low density housing. They aren't discriminating against anyone because of race! And if they did build multi-unit housing there, the DART line is nowhere close to Sunnyvale, and there is no industry there for these people to get jobs. What a joke! My family is buying a house in Sunnyvale, cause we can afford it. If we couldn't afford to move there we'd just go someplace else! And we are minorities, contradicting what the housing people think. Its not like there isn't low-income housing in other places. Sunnyvale is like 88% white, but its a growing town with lots of new homes.. so that number will probably change by next year. I am looking for a temporary place to move to. I can't afford to rent an apt or house. I would like to know if anyone has a place maybe vacant property that would benefit occupancy and cash while on the market or such. I wouldn't mind even if it was only for anywhere from 2-3 months up to 6-8 months. I live in the Antelope Valley in California. Any and all help would be apprieciated.
