How often do I need to update my phone on the do not call list? I am recently being inundated with calls from various organizations wanting donations. Are these people exempt from the do not call list? If I need to update, it's been a little over three years since I had our home phone put on the no call list. I did not find a category to post this in that seemed appropriate. I hope that someone will be able to help me here.
What ever happened to the Do Not Call List? I put my name on the Do Not Call List some time ago, but I'm constantly getting recorded calls from "toll-free" and "out of area" numbers. These calls start at 8:00 in the morning every day and it's annoying since the calls continue throughout every day. Does the Do Not Call list even exist anymore?
Has anyone else recieved a solicitation call to remind them they are on the "Do Not Call" List? I just played a recording on my call wave from an outside source on behalf of my satellite TV supplier reminding me that I am on the DO NOT CALL List and to please remove that particualr solicitor from the list so they may contact me with exciting offers,,,,,,,,,,,NOW! Did we not list ourselves on the national do not call list so we wouldnt be bothered with these types of calls?DUH? Is this the solicitors new way to get around the Do not call list? Has anybody else recieved a similar call? I am ready to cancel my satellite provider and go with their competition, unless they are stooping to these tactics too. Oh and this is like the tenth call this week from that number. all other calls left no message,,,,,, harrassing!!!!!!!!!!1
Does the National Do Not Call list apply to cell phones? I only have a cell phone because it's just cheaper than a land line. I am constantly getting telemarketing calls. I registered my number with the "National Do not Call list" and I swear it's gotten even worse! Does it not count for cell phones? Or is it really just bs?
Why are Political Organizations exempt from the Do Not Call List? Just this morning i've had two pro health care calls from organisations "claiming to be affiliated" with the Democratic party and two from Right Wing groups literally screaming about abortion taxes and my grandma being denied medicine. Why are they not on the do not call list and why do i have to listen to their nonsense. As far as i'm aware i don't even get to vote on the issue.
Can a work at home phone be put on the Do Not Call list? One of my relatives started a work-at-home business. She wants to put it on the Do Not Call list, but the official site says that business lines are excluded. Yet, this is technically a home line and was purchased as such. Can this phone number be put on the Official Do Not Call registry?
Can companies still call if your number is on the do not call list? I have a company claiming that I agreed to sign up for their 21 day trial, and that I gave them my account information. I never give out that information over the phone expecially to a company I don't know. Now they are refusing to refund my money for their membership. I never even went to their website til I saw the charge on my account. So how do I get my money back? My number is on the do not call list so can they get in trouble for calling me?
How can I make complaint against the navy for calling me when I am on the no call list? They called me asking donations, care packages to the troops. I would not give the troops the time of day let alone any care packages, I rather help the insurgents if I could and do pray they win the fight instead of our troops under our malevolent liar President Bush, and it really angers me they call and beg of me when I am on the no call list, what a bunch of loosers. I told them to f-off, I told them I dont support the troops at all and instead I write letters to them counter support. Is there any way I can sue the Navy for asking me to support the troops with these pitifull beg for support calls?
Are political polls really relevant in the age of cell phones and no call list? It seems to me that the media is using poll numbers to exclude the candidates who are not drawing large numbers according to their polls. In other words, they are widdling down the field and it isn't their right to do that. Especially considering that so many people carry cell phones and are not going to be called to answer the polls. Then, when I consider that so many people have made it a point to put their home phone numbers on no call list, I can't help believing that the majority of American voters are never call to answer a phone poll. Should American voters be doing something to force the major media outlets to stop intruding into the Presidential campains by eliminating candidates due to polling numbers? Ok mild. I'll have to take your word for that. But what about the fact that so many people don't even have home phone numbers today, due to cell phones. And do the pollsters call the people who have internet phones, such as Vonage? Did God himself come down to earth and tell you that Disneyland? How do you know that? And please don't tell me that Hannity told you. He is hardly an unbiased source. I find it interesting that none of you have bothered to touch the issue of the major media outlets, who eliminate candidates due to poll numbers, are overstepping their bounds. Shall I remind you that if polls had any validity, Howard Dean would have won Iowa in the last election? Gd2cook, Good point. I was watching Tim Russert this morning. I consider him to be a good journalist. And he kept quoting poll numbers. That allowed him to only mention the 3 top runner, according to the polls, on the Democratic side, and the 4 top runners, according to the polls, on the Republican side. Neither he nor his guest panel mentioned the other candidates at all. That is not good journalism. Especially when one considers that the polls can be so wrong.
how do I get my cell phone on the do not call list? I have called the national do not call registry, but I keep getting calls on my cell phone. How do I make them stop calling. These are regular telemarketers. I have called the DNCR several times over the past year and everybody should have been made aware by now. I get texts and phone calls.
Why do i still get phone calls when i am registered in the do not call list? I don't understand why i do still get those pesty phone calls from telemarketing even thought i have registered my phone number in the do not call list!!!! i have tried to registered once again and it didn't let me do it !!!! so annoying !!! sick & tired of those calls, thank god i can block some of them (20 allows me my phone) do you get those phone calls beside being on the do not call list?
Good idea to put cell phone number on Do Not Call List? I get occasional telemarketing calls/text messages on my cell phone, so I have reason to put it on the (US FTC) Do Not Call list. But, by doing so, will I actually be SUPPLYING my number to unscrupulous telemarketers and telemarketers who are still legally permitted to call numbers on the Do Not Call list?
Am I exempt from the do not call list if I want to buy something from someone? I have a bunch of consumers I want to call to see if they have an antique I am looking for. I want to actually purchase what the have. I am not selling a service or anything else for that matter. I just want to see if they would be willing to sell. For Example: I buy and trade vintage cars and trucks. I see that someone owns an old car, I have their phone number and I want to see if I can buy it from them.
How can I add all 500 of my company's cell phone numbers to the do-not-call list? I know that there is a way to add three numbers at a time on their website (donotcall.gov) but I each of them has to be verified with an email address. Even if it were possible to use the same email address over and over again this process would take forever. Is there a way to submit my company's cell phone numbers to the do-not-call registry to have them all added?
Is there a do not call list for cell phones? My husband and I bought identical cell phones from the same company at the same time. He gets dozens of garbage calls from various companies. I don't get any. I'm not complaining, of course. But isn't there a do not call iist that he can join so these people stop burning his minutes? I looked on Google and all I could find was places that want money and will supposedly stop the sales calls. Sorry, I don't believe it. Does the government have something?
What's your recent experience with Canada's national Do Not Call List? I've started getting telemarketing calls, so I'm trying to decide whether to put my number on this list. Of course I've been Googling this, but I'm only coming across comments from over a year ago, when the list was new and there were lots of problems. So, for people who've registered on the list more recently: 1) Was it a good idea overall? Do you get fewer telemarketing calls now? 2) Do they give your number to exempted parties (like charities), resulting in more non-telemarketing calls? (The website says that (a) they publish the DNCL, and (b) charities etc. are exempt, so in theory it sounds like some people could actually GET your number for the DNCL.)
How can I obtain a Do Not Call List for the state of neveda? I've made the move from Oklahoma to Nevada. In Oklahoma I owned a small business, Now that Im in Nevada I'd like to Re-open my business. My business requires telemarketing, But I'm having issues locating a DNCL for the state of Nevada. Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks in advance.
Do you know about the "National do not call list"? This is a number you can call from the phone you do not wish to receive sale calls♥ it's:888-382-1222♥ I did it from my cell phone♥ i put this same number up here last year and thought i would again and ask if you have ever heard of it.
Telemarketing calls MRSI violates do not call list- caller id # 513-562-1300? If you are receiving calls fro MRSI they are a survey/telemarketing company that violates the do not call registry and harasses you at home, work and on your cell. Did you know you can personally call them and let them know how you feel about this? I will place a link to a complaint I posted on 800notes. Stand up to this garbage and tell them enough is enough The name of this company is Marketing Research Services Inc. They are based out of Ohio and are telemarketers. They have been terrorizing my phone for months. Today I reversed the number and found their name. I went on line to their web site and found their after hours urgent number. I called it and asked for a Manager. She seemed taken back by me bothering her. I asked her why she is repeatedly calling my home even though I am on the do not call registry. First they denied it, but then wanted my number to take it off their list. I asked how the can take my number off their list if they do not call me? She then said I must of signed up for something and that's how they got my number. I explained that I NEVER give my number out, unless its family, school, work etc.. I then went on to tell her that I am posting her number on all the complaint sites about this company and requesting that anyone who is as pissed as me should give them a jingle and let them know how much you enjoy being harassed by them. Please re explain the laws again to her regarding the do not call list. You can call 513-579-1555 24 hours a day. Press the call center option and demand to speak to the manager. I would also send them a email at info@mrsi.com Then report them to the ftc. Please tell her to get her head out of her a**, like I did.
Can you take a number off the do not call list? Ok so the old number i used to have, i put it on the do not call list..well now that i dont have it anymore, can i take it off??Or is it on there forever? I want to take it off because i think whoever gets it next should be able to choose whether they want telemarketing calls or not.
This is about the National Do Not call list? I was wondering if any way this affected businesses, like regular people (customers) calling businesses. I only wanted to prevent telemarketers from calling me. if this hurts businesses, then tell me how to get my number off the list.
does the government do not call list actaully work or is it a gimick? I get all sorts of calls coming through wanting to sell me any thing from credit cards to life insurance to colleges and or financial institutions( credit cards) and it is so annoying to say the least. I had three calls just this morning and no one said anything , until my husband got on the phone and asked who it was and then they had the balls to say something. To me, they just harrass and i am sick of it.
Does the bill collectors exemption to the do-not-call list apply if the KNOW the person isn't the debtor? We have been continuously harrassed by the Dept of Education for a loan that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with us for the past 10 years. They have even sent a letter confirming as much and have (supposedly) marked our contact details as do not call. Yet, we continue to get annoying and at times obnoxious and intimidating calls from bill collectors. The most recent this morning. We are on the do-not-call list. Is there any way to subject these callers to the do-not-call violation penalties given that they know (or should have known) that we have nothing to do with the bill. Or are there any other means to stop this continuing harrassment.
How can I get off the Red Cross call list? Not to seem cold, but the Red Cross keeps calling at the most inopportune times. I figure I can just check out their web site if need be. Does anyone know how I can get off their phone list?
What is the number to dial to put yourself on the "do not call" List for phone solicitors? Some one put a link on a question of " where to watch a tv show online".To get there I had to fill out a lot of surveys. I checked "NO" for every answer but it kept going from survey to survey so I opted out of it, figuring it just wasn't worth it Now, I've got sales solicitors calling me all hours of the day & night that are very rude & persistent. One was going to sign me up for 5 magazines.Even after me saying NO several times, she still connected me on to her supervisor to get the affirmation. when the supervisor came on she did the same thing & did not take no for an answer. While saying you only have to pay for 1 magazine per week you will get a $1,000.00 shopping spree!" I thought this was a hoax, nothing is free everything has a catch to it. I told her again NO & would not give her my credit card number when asked for it. Then she said "Mam, are you not authorized to use your own credit card?" & I said "NO", then she kept intimidating me & I said very rudely : "well you're gonna do it anyway so just have at it, but I don't want your magazines!" She kept on & on & finally after all her attempts failed to get my bank card number she said " Mam, you don't want these magazines & Your 1,000.00$ free shopping spree!?" I said "NO what is wrong with you people, I told you that over & over!" She finally stopped talking & I told her not to call me back. How do you deal with these people? These solicitors will call back if you do not answer the phone. They do not ask you if you busy or care what time of day they call you. The last one I disguised my voice & said "wuuttt?" & "OOOKieaaeee OOKEEE & was hard to talk to. Maybe that one won't call back! What is the "do not call list' number ? thank you so much.

How do I get phone numbers on the no-call list? I had my phone (and cell) put on the no call list a while back but, I don't remember the number. My son (17) has been getting calls on his cell about his warranty about to expire for his car insurance. Today - my daughter (12) got the same call on her cell! If anyone knows how to stop these calls I would appreciate it - last time I got the info from my local newspaper. Thanks in advance!
How do I remover someone from the block call list on my phone? I blocked calls from Justin on my Samsung Propel on AT&T. Now I want him to be able to call me, but the phone doesn't give me an option to unblock him. "Add to reject list" appears on the menu under his name, but if I try that it says he's already on the list. No duh. But I want him off! Help?
How can I delete older missed calls that are still showing on my missed call list? I have missed calls from three months ago still on my missed call list from messenger. How can I delete them. I've tried right clicking and nothing happens. I can't find a delete button either. I am using the lates beta version of yahoo messenger, and there isn't even a red "X" to click on in any of the corners (to delete the old missed calls from the call list)
How do I report somebody for violating the "Do Not Call" list? I am on a "Do Not Call" list, which is supposed to prohibit telemarketers from contacting me. I've been getting harassed by telemarketers claiming they represent Sprint/PCS, and saying I've won a free cell phone. I've already requested twice that they stop calling me, yet the calls keep coming one after the other. How do I report these jerks? (They sound like they're from India, perhaps - all the callers have that particular accentuation.)
Is it possible to recover the recent call list? Hi friends, I have Motorola W209 Mobile. I had many calls in the Recent Calls List, which were from my friend and other companies. I accidentally deleted the recent call list by selecting the Delete All Calls option. Is there any way to recover the calls which I have deleted? Please give me a positive reply, I need the calls badly. I know the date and time of the call received. Thanks. Ash...
why doesnt my hotel have an on call list? organizations dealing with in home care have on call lists of people who may be willing to fill in. why don't more businesses employ on call personnel and take advantage of the recession? i would think many folk would be glad to be fill in and make money when they can. It may allow flexibility for those who need it such as students, single parents, burnt out employees, or those who are grieving, etc. what is the other side to the matter? work ethic, government/laws, insurance, and costs that don't allow for this emergency flexibilty?
I need to know how to do a crew call list for a photo shoot? I'm a freelance makeup artist just starting out. I did a photo shoot for an upscale salon in my area and I wanted to compose a crew call list to keep for my records. the salon is willing to put their logo/letterhead on it, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to put it together. Can anyone help?
How do telemarketers get around the no call list? I keep getting phone calls. I have been on a government no call list and I renewed that. The callers call from unlisted numbers. How can this be stopped? Do other people get these calls too? I've called the police, and they said to just hang up. I've told them I would report them, but calling from blocked numbers they know there is no way to track them down. I don't fill out any contest information, I know that gets you on all sorts of lists.
How do I get my information taken off a company's call list? I got this call on my cell phone that from Distinct Advantage trying to send me some promotional stuff because of my checking account. I don't have a checking account. I also don't use my cell phone number for stuff on the internet unless it is for something that I expect to be called about like a scholarship. I looked them up on in internet and apparrently they have been noted for scams and harrassment. I have never had a checking account. It is also said that they charge you for calling your phone. What should I do about this?
National do not call list problems? I have been on the national do not call list. For some reason, all times of the day and night I get these stupid recorded calls about the upcoming election. Is there anything I can do? I got one from the same number today 5 times and each time I get the same recording. Is there no privacy??? I see all this crap on TV, in the paper, in peoples yards, on the streets and now in the privacy of my own home during dinner I have to answer the freakin phone to listen to more election crap. I know I dont have many more weeks to deal with this, but its just a bit overkill. I mean with all the danged phone calls and messages, it makes me not even want to vote at all. Anyone have any ideas?
"Do not call list" what is the current status & laws? I had the MOST obnoxious solicitation call the other day. When I told him I'm on the Do Not Call list - he told me I couldn't be. So I told him to take me off his company's call list - he said he couldn't do that. Finally I inisited that he connect me to a manager - I believe they are required to do that? - and it took 15 minutes of arguing to get him to give me a name and number to call. Before I call and chew out his boss I want to make sure I'm right on a couple things: 1) Is there still a Do Not Call listing? 2) When you request removal from a phone list, doesn't the law currently say the company must remove you? 3) I seem to recall that sometimes the regular people can't remove you, but that they all can connect you with a manager who can - is this right? I want to be sure of myself in case it takes another 15 minutes of yelling to get my point across ... Thanks!
What are the laws regarding the "Do not call list"? A company called Cardholder Services has repeatedly called my house. I have asked to be taken off of thier call list FIVE times and I have documented dates and times of four of the phone calls from them since the 29th of November. The call comes in Unavailable and when you answer you get an automated message that says press 9 to speak to an operator and lower your credit card interest rate, or press 8 to be removed from our call list. If you press 8 it tells you that is an invalid option. So I press 9 and a person answers, I tell them to take me off thier call list and they say "Ok, thank you" then they hang up every time. What can i do about this harrassing company?
Is there a no call list for cell phone numbers? Somebody sent me an email about this, but alas, I can't find it. It's annoying enough when they call your home phone, but on a pay as you go plan where you pay 25 cents a minute for both outgoing and incoming calls, it's downright outrageous! How the heck is it even legal?
FCC question, Federal Do Not Call List and telemarketers? I have been put on the national "Do Not Call List" and my phone line is my buisness line. This same telemarketing firm has been soliciting me repeatedly. I have their phone # and location. I have requested they put me on their list and I currently am on the federal list. They are therefore in violation of law, how do I go about pursuing a complaint?
Who is exempt from obeying the "do not call" list? I am on the national do not call list and also the Kansas do not call list. I keep getting calls from two different numbers. I keep telling them to stop but the calls still come. I have filed complaints on the do not call registry website. One company that keeps calling is called Datascension. Their website (http://www.datascension.com) says "Datascension is a market research company and is excluded from the "Do Not Call" list." Is this true? I thought that only charities, political organizations and companies that you have done business with in the last 2 years were exempt. Is this also true about market research companies?
How can I get on the national Cell phone Do Not Call list? I am already on the National Do Not Call list and telemarketers have mostly stopped calling my home. But now they are calling my cell phone all the time. I have to pay for each incomming call. The regular DNC list doesn't work for cell phones. I heard there is one for cell phones now. How do I get on this list so that telemarketers will stop calling my cell phone and running up my bill?
What do they call the price list for hospital services? What do they call the price list for hospital services? I forgot what it's called. It's a catalog of surgeries and other things that a hospital does for patients. It's basically so hospital employees know how much to bill the customer (insurance company) for.
Is There a No Call List that Works? I own a business that has been open for about 6 months and I think the person who had the telephone number before me is still using it. I get calls all the time for health care plans for the elderly and free dish satellite and lower mortgage payments...etc. Any suggestions of a no call list that works or a complaint I can file with the phone company.... Any thing would be helpful.
