I was wondering what a Disc Jockey does when they are not on the air?
Whenever I listen to the radio stations in the morning. You may hear Moonlighting Mitch for 4 to 5 hours a day. What is he doing when he gets off the air? Just Curious.

- He has a life just like the rest of us. What do you do when you are not working?
- PISS
- most announcers work a couple of hours before or after the airshift on commercial production, show prep and and meetings...after the workday is done...they are outta there to enjoy the 'la vida loca'!...
- They might be planning the show for the next day, although few DJ's pick their own music nowadays. They also do production, which is recording commercials, public service announcements, promos, or other material that needs to be on the air in the next day or two. Some days they may also make personal appearances. Some of which are 'for profit' and some of which are just promoting the station for the benefit of the community.
