What are some certifications required for government jobs?

I'm going to school for IT (Information Technology) and would like to get a government job in the technology field. Does anyone know of any specific certifications that would assist me in getting a job in this field with the gov.?

1. WELL, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO TO USAJOBS.GOV AND PULL UP DIFFERENT IT ANNOUNCEMENTS AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR.. OR IF YOU KNOW SPECIFICS OF WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, PULL UP A SAMPLE RESUME ONLINE FOR THAT POSITION AND SEE WHAT COMPANIES ARE LOOKING FOR.
2. MCSE, MCT, any of the Microsoft certs. A++, Java, Programming is hot and Information Security is big.
