What are some good work-from-home jobs?
I currently do medical transcription, but I absolutely hate it. However, I do love that it lets me work from home. What are other jobs that would allow me to work from home? I also am a skilled artist. Just looking for some suggestions!

- I believe the online travel business, I've started one from my home, my site is just like all the other, but on mine you can buy car, send flower, get paid for your travel, golf trips, and more. But people don't like they have to pay 449.00 and 49.95, you do't get something for nothing these days, you can but it doesn't last hope you find what your looking for, keep your head up.
- Since you're an artist, you might try elance.com. You can bid on all sorts of projects. For example, a startup biz might post a request for bids on a new logo, and if yours is accepted you design it for them. Here are a few others: - Scoring essays for standardized tests -- ETS is advertising positions in several programs online at ets.org. - Tutoring -- though many sites require you to have a teaching certificate. - Customer service rep -- basically you log into a call center and calls are directed to your home. From what I could tell, there were a few decent companies out there, but they required a dedicated phone line (land line, no cell) and Internet connection for the period you're hired to work. Good luck!
- I think paid to survey job from Home. I have registered with some of the companies and listed such companies for the benefit of others in my blog. If interested please visit http://surveypays2u.blogspot.com/

- And amidst all the spam, I'd have to say that you're already top-of-the-heap for work at home jobs/businesses that don't take working a long time in-house somewhere first, and then work-at-home becomes a perk of it. (Project Managers, etc.) The only other things I've heard of that aren't scams are: Being a Virtual Assistant. (First three links below, and only 5000-8000 of them worldwide - not exactly easy to get into.) No references in the first link, and not sure if the second link is truly legit or not, but it was featured on NPR's Talk of the Nation/Blog of the Nation (third link.) Running an eBay business -- though I've never seen an independent source that actually says you can really make a full-time living at it. (Seems to me you'd need some pretty massive start-up capital and/or be really lucky.) You also may want to dig into the "Telecommuting" category at Wikipedia (last link.) There isn't a lot there, but it may open some avenues to you. Good luck! Hope you get to stay at home, and still do work you would find fulfilling!
