How do I search for jobs at international companies?

Do I just go on Yahoo! HotJobs or Indeed.com or simplyhired.com, and type "international" as a keyword? This doesn't seem to be working so well! I live in the United States, but I have dual Canadian-American citizenship. I want to spend a year overseas, but I want to work during that year. Currently I work as a research assistant at a federal agency, earning $42k per year plus full health benefits, and I want to find the same at a multinational company. My bachelor's degree is in both political science and economics, but alas I don't have a master's degree or a specialization in something technical like actuary or GIS. Thanks for reading!

  1. The feds pay less but offer better benefits. Are you crazy for leaving? You can retire early with the feds. Your degree is best suited for the federal govt. Trying taking the civil servant test and try working in another dept. The state dept frowns on dual citizens and people who have foreign born spouses. Try contacting head hunters, but with so much anti americanism, even in Canada, rampant you ought to stay put. A teacher friend of mine pretends to be French while traveling in the EU to avoid the anti backlash.
