I just received my USPS exam scores, do I have a good chance of employment?

I just received my results for the Rural carrier test. I scored 89%. I live in a small town/rural area where I would have to drive my own vehicle. Do I have a good chance of getting hired?

1. 89% is a good score on the RCA exam. Normally, you would be hired quickly. However, as a result of the last mail count (04/08), many routes have dropped in evaluation. In many offices, routes are being consolidated and thus fewer RCA's are needed. You should make an appointment asap to talk to the PM in your small town and show that you are eager to start work. Since you are providing a POV and in a small town, your chances are of getting hired are much greater than in the large offices where consolidations will take place.
