i just received my results for the usps exam?

i scored a 81.2 do i have a good chance of employment and if so how long before i hear something. i tested for everything which was one test, clerical, clerk, carrier, distribution and others

1. I don't want to burst your bubble or rain on your aprade, but that is a pretty low score. We have people scoring 100% all the time. You also have to consider that Disabled Veterans and other Veterans have points added to their scores. Myself, my final score was 109.45% with my 10 points added on. The lowest score among the group that was hired was still over 95%. Take the test again as soon as practical to try to improve your score.
2. It depends on where you live. I live in a rural area where you have to have your own vehicle and at this time there is no one on the list to be hired. Any passing score will do. In more competitive areas you need a higher score. I think you did pretty well, especially if it was your first time taking the test. I know people who had to take it several times to pass.
