  1. The Best thing an intelligent person would do is....Contact USPS human resources.
  2. It's a scam - probably one of those "job" sites that wants you to register for a fee or something similar. Federal employment requires 18 or older. www.usajobs.gov is the only official website for federal employment. There are numerous others which are free and provide the same information. Never, ever pay for job information, regardless of the target field.
  3. Age Requirement 18 years at the time of appointment or 16 years with a high school diploma. Also you have to meet these following requirements: Employment History Applicants must provide the names of their current employer and all previous employers for the 10-year period immediately preceding the date of application or to their 16th birthday, whichever is most recent. Criminal Conviction History A local criminal check is required prior to employment. A more extensive criminal history check is completed at employment. Drug Screen A qualification for postal employment is to be drug free, and is determined through a urinalysis drug screen. Medical Assessment A medical assessment is conducted to determine medical suitability for a specific position. It provides the selecting official with information about an applicant's ability to perform the functions of a particular job. Safe Driving Record A safe driving record is required for employees who drive at work (i. e., city carriers, motor vehicle operators, etc.).
  4. It was some sort of scam. The government does not use head hunters for these jobs, nor do they hire minors.
  5. Yep, you definitely have to be 18 to work for the Postal Service. When you see an ad in the paper saying the USPS is hiring, it's usually for a company that gives classes to help prepare for the test. The classes aren't free, of course, and you don't need them. Just FYI, if you do ever get the chance to take the Postal Exam, just go to a bookstore and pick up a book that helps you study for it. It's much cheaper and it's really all you need.
