Envelope stuffing?

I see these ads in this employment guide newspaper that says you can work at home stuffing envelopes. They say they send you all the materials including covering the postage and shipping costs. You secure, stuff, and mail envelopes and they pay you. Company has been in buisiness for 10 years in the same location. Gives refund within first 30 days of registration costs (covers cost of original materials). Has anyone else ever done this? Is it legit? Is there a way I can look up the company on the Better Buisiness Bureau? I've actually done something like this before, assembling magnets at home and mailing them back. It WAS legit, and they DID mail me materials and I did receive pay for my work. I've never done the envelope thing though. Any suggestions?

  1. Rule to go by when doing something like this? Don't ever give them money for anything. If they ask you for money, it is a scam. Good luck. I love your Id name.
  2. Why can't they just buy a machine to do it? They are selling you address lists and you then make a percentage off what is sold.
  3. scam--pyramid scheme
  4. I don't have a base to say that ALL of these are scams, but many of these are just that. They just send you some pieces of paper with printed material (their "product", so they can claim that they actually sold something in case they get sued) and instructions to do what they did - put ads in newspapers and mail to those who answer copies of those papers, which is the actual "envelope stuffing"
  5. Envelopes are stuffed by machine, not by hand.
  6. hehe i did this with the help of my grandmother, yep it pays but not much, i guess that was my first job, my grandmother encouraged me. i took her out to eat at the dairy queen on it, she loved soft served ice cream cause she didn't have many teeth. she wouldn't take false ones, she said it ain't natural, and she liked gums, i think back now, and i think she had never been to a dentist, and was probably scared.......
  7. the envelope thing is a scam and a half my friend k tried it and would let me know and then i would follow (she has $30 to spare) which she sent and they wanted another $20 the only one getting paid to stuff the envelope is the one opening the one with the $$$$ inside i would go back to assembling magnets if you need a little extra cash well take care and have fun
  8. A scam. Machines can stuff envelopes cheaper than people
