Do most companies really look for marijuana in drug tests?

Two friends of mine had drug tests for pre employment at Walmart, both of them smoke, a lot, and they passed the drug test. Last week My friend had a drug test for Redners, and she smoked the night before and somehow she still passed.. Whats your take an no they didnt cheat in any way

1. Marijuana metabolizes in your fat and takes longer to leave your system than any of the other drugs tested for. Walmart does a 5 panel drug test. THC is one of them. If they used marijuna in the last month or more and passed the test, it is because they cheated on the test. The only way to do that is bring clean urine that is the right temperature. There is nothing you can drink or ingest to clean your system out from Marijuana
2. I'd just guess faulty testing or they didn't actually run the tests because it costs money. I cannot figure out why people put up with marijuana tests to get a lousy minimum wage job. Or a good paying prestigious job. I don't smoke the stuff but I think it's ridiculous to have Big Brother Walmart or whatever policing minor recreational intoxication. Which, as I said, I neither indulge in or agree with. I can see drug testing if you were applying to be a pilot, train engineer or something like that, where you are responsible for other people's lives.I could even see it before taking a driver's test, before swinging 4000 lbs of lethal motor force onto the road! But selling a cheap plastic doo-dad at a retail store? Ridiculous. America's paranoia about anything having to do with drugs is desiccating some of its freedoms. Anyway, that's my take on on it. If they did the test they are getting ripped off by the lab or they truly don't care if you smoke a joint at home the day before you come to work. My best guess though- they didn't actually run the test.
3. yep,the only thing that company's even most government jobs lie about when talking about drug test is that they don't test for legal meds like your doc gives.reminding you "most"it cost's way to much money for tests of legal drugs.sad thing about some drug labs like in hospitals it tests positive for meth if you have taken benadrile,I seen that on the health channel once.but in company drug tests it's different,they test one time,if it come's up positive,they test up to 3 time's,just to make sure you can't sue them for loosing a job.
4. some do. other places just act like they do but dont really check. and u can cheat on them for a piss test just buy fake pee or have some pee for you. a mouth test say ur mouth is dry and u need a drink hold some water in ur mouth and its all good lol
