how do I reduce image resolution and size to send on a craigslist post?

I can email images no problem,but when I try to upload onto a craigslist post,they say it's too large and I don't know how to make it compatible.Any ideas?

1. If you had a photo editing program (photoshop, elements, paint shop pro, etc) it would be easy. Other than that, try Picnik or one of the other online editing programs. http://www.picnik.com/app#/home/welcome
2. If you do not have an editing program, Google make a free app that can do it. Google Picasa at http://picasa.google.com/
3. I simply use MS Paint to do this job. It's so easy.
