If an employer said they would call you in reference to a job, how many days would you wait until u called bak

I applied for this job thru kelly services employment agency. I talked to the lady on tuesday. she said they are just waiting on my b.g check to come back, then she would call me. she hasnt called me yet. so do you guys think i should call her on tomorrow which is friday (3 days after the fact) i really need this job and its hard to wait on her.

4. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with wanting to know what's going on! I don't think you should be ashamed and just call. The worse that could happen is that they wouldn't know if you've got to job or not.

6. yes, I was actually going to suggest three days. I think three days is enough time without waiting too long and missing the boat completely. Just be really nice and professional on the phone and as long as you don't call every five minutes you should be fine. This time if she deferrs you again ask for a date you can call back to check in, in case you don't get her message.
7. you could call and ask her how you application is "progressing". It will show that your keen without trying to sound desperate. If she says she will call you, leave it a week and if you still have not heard anything call again and ask the same question.
8. I'd give it one week, (five business days,) then call back. All the jobs that I've ever gotten, I literally made a pest of myself calling before being called in for a second interview and subsequently hired. When I say a pest, trust me, I felt like a pain in the ass myself, but I wanted the job, and that fact came across, and it worked.
9. Call tomorrow and just say that you were checking in to see if she had any info or additional questions. If you wait...you may get passed up for lack of interest. It never hurts to let them know you are serious about the position you applied for. Good Luck!
10. If you want the job, I would go to work SOMEWHERE and then give her all the time she wants.
11. I would wait until Monday or Tuesday to call (about a week).....to thank her for her time. If she doesn't mention anything about the bg check make sure you let her know you look forward to hearing from her soon!
