Have anyone you know aquired a good job from one of these online career assit i.e.,career builder,monster?

I know a couple of people who have gotten good jobs from monster.com. I've always gotten jobs through friends but I had my resume on monster and on career builder and on a local site for IT folks, about 3 years ago; I did get 2 offers, several interviews and I still get emails asking if I am looking for a job even though my resume isn't up there any more.
I personally do not know of anyone including myself. I have received phone calls (my resume is posted as well) but 99.9% of the calls were from recruiters/employment agencies. I'd rather put a bullet in my head than deal with them.
I recently interviewed for a job after applying on careerbuilders. Wish me luck on obtaining it!
Nope. Try craigslist.org or hotjobs.com.
Not all recruiters are bad - just be careful who you work for. Plus there is a difference between third party recruiters and corporate recruiters. I know a lot of people who have found jobs using monster. For many larger companies this is where they post their jobs, and not on their web sites.
