Can anyone think of a career where I can live on a yacht and cruise the world?
I think it would be awesome to spend my life traveling all over the world by boat, visiting different places and do that for my job. I am getting a degree in architecture.. I am very interested in art and entrepreneurial ventures of any kind To clarify, yes I would like this to be my main source of income (hence the word "career") I would rather be in charge of myself than work for a cruise ship company. I want it to be my boat and my business, whatever that may be. That being said, give me some creative ideas people!!

- First mate. Sorry to say there's no use of an architectural degree in that. But, if you get on-the-job training on boats & working at a marina, that'd qualify you to become a First Mate. There are a lot of wealthy people who have big yachts and need crewmen to operate them. They will travel all over the place, usually to good destinations (unlike Merchant Marines who will end up running routes back and forth between China and the United States).
- Sure, a cruise boat captain.
- Go work on a cruise ship. There are a lot of fun jobs on them, not a lot of pay I'm sure but it could be fun for your summers away from college.
- Do you want to have income to do this or a job that includes this? Big difference.
- work on a cruise ship, you'll live and work on ship for 6months then have 6months off... nice job. you get to see all over the world and have fun!
- you can get into: catering on the ship hairdressing on the ship entertainment on the ship
