What do you think about schools like Everest or Western career college?
Im wondering if I should go to a secondary school like Everest or Western Career College but I dont want to waste my money and time. So if there is anyone who can give me some insights about schools like these that would be great. I just want to know if they really do what they say they will. Like all the training and help you find a job and all that.

- I believe that Everest is a for-profit school, and they say that it's best to stay away from those as their primary goal is to 'make a profit'. (From what I understand, most schools don't go out of their way to look for work for their students and it's a way to get the person in the door, so to speak.) It's also recommended that the school be regionally accredited and not just nationally. Please also steer clear of penn foster, stratford career and university of phoenix. This site http://www.ripoffreport.com has posts of former students of penn foster and stratford career and penn foster's had over 200 complaints to the bbb and been under different names. - Everest was actually on the news they got a bad review from the better business bureau. Their were students that said that they had a hard time finding a job after finishing the program at Everest they say that they do job placement but they really don't. My sister went to Western Career College and she loved it. After she finished her program they helped her find a job right away . If you don't want to spend that much money I heard that Mt. Diablo Adult School in Concord,CA Has some good programs and is way cheaper than Western Career College.
- Everest has a bad reputation and I heard that Western Career College says they do job placement but all they really do is fax your resume to companies that are hiring which they find online which you can do on your own. I think they are a rip off it's cheaper to go to a community college or an Adult School.
