Has anyone ever took classes through US Career Institute?

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about US Career Institute and whether or not it was worth the time and money to obtain a diploma from them. I want to be able to work from home and I can take classes through them for Medical Claims and Billing. Does anyone know any helpful information about them? I just want to know if anyone has tried it and if it really worked out for you and was worth it. Thanks so much!

  1. It sounds like one of those private $$ career schools. There are actually not supposed to be too many jobs for the medical biller (or coder or medical assistant) despite what the expensive schools say. If still wanting the training, perhaps look into the county vo-tech school or community college (perhaps non-credit course) as long as it's accredited within the industry. Please also steer clear of those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, university of phoenix, capella, strayer, devry, ITT tech, kaplan and others as they are merely out to 'make a profit': http://www.capellauniversitysucks.us http://www.ripoffreport.com and type into search. http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
