Has anyone taken a medical transcription or medical coding onine course from us career institute?
Has anyone taken the medical coding or med transcription course with us career institute. Is it a good course. I barely got through highschool could someone with below average intelligence get through it?

- Those places are rip offs and they wont get you a gob. Try to go locally and see the records of job placements.
- I have taken the medical coding class at a junior college and it wasn't to hard. The big certification test I heard is pretty complicated and you must memorize alot of codes to pass.
- I took court reporting and medical transcription and closed caption at AIB in Des Moines Iowa. It is a two year course, and I would venture to say that it doesn't require a 140 IQ ;or anything like that. I'm not that smart, and I did it! And honestly I did more partying than I ever did studying! I went on after that to become a nurse, but I am sure even if I hadn't I could have made a decent living as a medical transcriber or a closed captionist. (or even a court reporter) 'boring' but you can do it Good Luck
