What do I need to do to transfer my Section 8 housing out of state?

I would like to move from San Antonio Texas to up north where I have family. Dose anyone know the procedure or how long it take to be approved?

1. Depends on where you move to you should be able todo this from your local office . If not try the state you are going to if you have a place there already in mind they might want conformation. Try is Good Luck Try it in Alaska
2. It won't transfer you have to start all over again in your new state. Also it can take up to a year to get it unless your homeless...even then it will still take 4 to 6 months being on the front of the list.
