does anyone know of anywhere in the east bay that will help find low income housing?

i am a single mother and i need to find housing for myself and my three month old daughter asap! everywhere i've looked is either way out of my range or doesnt want to give housing to anyone that is unemployed i do however receive general assistance...someone please help! Serious responses only! i dont need to be critcised by anyone i just need simple answers thankx!...
