What are the negative effects of low income housing on a downtown business district?

1. I believe the best answer is to have a combination of housing within a downtown. Sadly- What is low income anymore? The cost of housing has exploded and if one has the ability to purchase and have home ownership, it is a good investment to the buyer and the community.

3. Potential shoppers and may be put off from shopping in the business dustrict because they may have prejudices against the people living in low income housing. Therefore, a potential effect is a negative impact on the economy of the business district.
