Can a person that has a non violent felony nor drug related get housing through the Housing Authority of IN?

I want to know by law under the Fair Housing Act can a person that was convicted of a non drug related nor violent felony charge be lawfully denied housing?

1. You need to call to be sure,but the last I heard a person could not have type of felony conviction to qualify for section 8 housing.
