What is considered eligible for Affordable Housing in Atlanta, GA?
I am a college student with a low income. My boyfriend and I are in the process of looking for a house or apartment to rent for January. It's been hard finding an apartment because we own a pitbull and because of careless owners we have been rejected from many complexes because of their policy on "vicious animals". We would really like a response on how to apply for affordable housing in order to rent a house in Atlanta, GA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Low income housing is not for students. It is for families, so you would need to give birth to obtain welfare housing. Your college should have some student housing available on it. Also you are allowed to use your student loans to cover housing. Welfare housing does not include the pitbull. Complexes have a policy against vicious animals because they can not obtain insurance if they rent to people with vicious dogs. You might be OK if you take out an insurance policy yourself for the dog and give that to the landlord to present to his insurance company.
