How do i get affordable housing (rent or buy) with bad credit and no income?

My husband and I are about to get kicked out of my moms house (she hates us and our 2 kids). Well, we are living on one income (we pay our own bills, she pays none of our bills) and have bad credit. We are looking for some affordable housing that is decent to live in but we cant afford any houses around here. Any suggestions? I have a BS and my husband has Associates degree and he is an Asst. Manager at lumber/hardware store. Where we live, they do not pay well and if I get a job, it will just pay for daycare but I cant stay home (which I am doing right now). So there is no win win.

1. Get better employment. Everyone wants, but everyone also has to work for what they want. Maybe lean on the system awhile and get more education to get better jobs. In the short run, good luck finding good housing.
2. since i don't know where u live i can't help with the housing advice but it you want to increase ur income depending on ur degree, u might find a job that allows u to keep ur child with you say in a day care center or some place with a similar informal environment where there aren't strict regulations abt u bringing ur child along and it's upto the dicretion of ur employee(u might explain ur situation to them) or even better u can take up a job that allows u to work from home sth via the telephone( as a real estate broker if you have good communication skills ) or online maybe. but beware of scams !! http://edition.cnn.com/2006/US/Careers/04/07/job.search.scam/index.html good luck !!
