Is there affordable housing in the Orlando area?

My family is looking and single family houses (even crap ones) are 270000+. Who on earth is buying these things?

1. 270k will get you a real decent house in Orlando
2. You should also check out Craigslist for orlando. Http://orlando.craigslist.org/rfs/ You can put in the price range and keyword like pool, garage, Boone HS, Conway, Lake Eola, etc.. Good Luck!
