i am just wander is HUD Department of Housing & Urban Development (US government a good thing?

i am just wandering becuase i was considering looking into huds for apartment living i dont make enough now and thought i might be able to get help how do i go about apply for hud please help if possible?

1. each state is given a window that they accept applications and do fill one out asap. if you are in a bad money situation it is a good ideas because it frees up money that you could be using to get bill caught up as well possibly save up for a home. now of course we have abusers who stay on it until death do them part but this is the purpose of governmental programs to help people in need to get on their feet properly. Of course there are a but load of question and depending on the city the landlords and area of living are not the best but put your best foot forward and make the best of your own home pray for the best
