How do the 99 dollar move in specials work for apartment rentals.?

Cool now you said "here" so where are you from and does it work the same way in VA.

1. Here it covers the application fees and background check fees and first month rent with a signed 1 year lease. the second thru 12th month it is the regular rent stated in lease.
2. You'll have to ask the individual property. I've seen some where you paid $99 at move-in but had to pay the security deposit with the 2nd months rent.
