Which sites are reputable to find pricing for available condos, townhouses, or apartment rentals?

I have tried apartments.com and various sites, but a lot of them charge fees to only get a 30 day membership. I really doubt I can find a new place in 30 days, so I need a site or a group of sites that can show the price range, location, and contact info. of the realtors and/or landlords to find a place to live. I live in the Los Angeles, CA area btw. Anyone know of such reputable sites?
