best way to promote an apartment to rent in Rome?

I have this apartment in Rome, very central (near the spanish steps) and I'm try to rent it to people that they want to visi the city, but my business is still very slow. where I can promote? At the moment I'm using craigslist. Any Idea is very welcome! I also did a little website www.acj.it/tritone For Denise: you are 50% right , but I'm really looking for ideas to how promote my business and the people that answer before you, they really give me concrete and good suggestions that I'm already following.

If it was in Piedmont, Sardinia or le Marche I would be happy to list it, once I had visited the place to make sure it was up to the standards I require, but unforunately I don't cover Rome.
2. I wish I knew more about this or where to steer you. My friends in California do home exchanges all over the world. I'll ask her and get back to you.

List your apartment on Venere.com List your apartment in the online & print edition of WantedInRome.com Sign up with an agency and let them take care of it for you. The agency will take a commission but they will also deal with interaction with the client. You just sit back & collect your money.
4. Well putting your link on in with your question is way of promoting your apartment. Be honest, you just asked a question so you promote your place.

Contact tour operators in Rome and negotiate with them to promote your property with them. 02. contact good tour operators from Germany, UK, US, Canada, other European countries to get their support. you can find list of people through net to connect with them 03. Contact Hotel accommodation providers to give your property inventory to sell their customers. 04. If you willing to pay google/Yahoo and MSN, you can do key word base advertising with them. it means when people search google/yahoo or msn for Apartment in Rome, your property can list there. 05. Give best service to your existing customer at good rate. then they will promote your property to others at no cost Hope this will help you
