What is the best cat litter for a small apartment??

I have 2 kittens, and live in a fairly small apartment. I have been using Nature's Miracle for about 1 week. The reviews I read on this product were great, but I'm not sure that I agree. It sucks b/c I have the litter box in the bathroom. It is the only appropriate place I have to put it, but there is no window in there. So, when they go to the bathroom it does get smelly. Anyone have good suggestions for a great odor eliminating litter?? Please help!

  1. the crustal kind, it soaks everything up

  3. I like Tidy Cats for Small Spaces. :) Make sure you scoop it everyday. It will help keep the odor down. Also, clean the box once a month with soap and water.
  4. i use tidy cats small spaces. it seems to work great. it has a orange label on it. its a muti cat kind to.
  5. I live with three cats in a little apartment, and I love the Arm and Hammer Multi Cat super scoopable litter. It really is great for multiple cat households. I usually put in a little bit of extra baking soda when I scoop the litter to freshen things up a bit.
  6. I like Arm&Hammer's multicat formula. I also get their Litter Deodorizer and sprinkle some in after every cleaning. This works best for my two now-grown-up kitties.
  7. I use the LitterMaid, which eliminates the need for odor-controlling litter because the clumps don't sit out in the open. It's not the cheapest solution but it will pay for itself over time, trust me.
  8. I use Arm&Hammer clumping sand works great. MP
  9. I also live in a small apartment..I have 2 cats and I use Tidy Cats..I love it..there is NO smell when they go and I can barely smell it when I scoop.
  10. arm and hammer super scoop unscented. that is what has worked the best for our 2 cats in our small apartment.
  11. i live in a small apt too and i use freshstep with the ordor crystals. works pretty well. i also keep the covered litterbox in the hallway closet.
  12. we use Sophisticat pink litter which has deodoriser in it and we also use a covered litter tray ( known as a cat toilet) with a charcoal filter in the top to filter out any bad smells.

  14. I live in a small apt with two cats and have had great luck with ScoopAway. Everything lumps up nicely and it's very easy to clean. We have it in our small laundry/utility closet and it doesn't smell at all.
  15. Definately Arm and Hammer clumping formula. My cat doesn't "flush." Silly thing...she'll scratch all around the litter box very seriously like a ritual, but she never covers the stupid stuff. Arm and Hammer has a nice scent, and it masks odor well and clumps around the pee so you don't have mud in the bottom when you change the litter.
  16. any hard clumping liter..and a good cat food nothing cheap this will help to eliminate the smell big time.
