How do i start my new business venture ?

i just wanted to start out small i was wondering if this is something that i may be able or if it is a good idea to post an ad on criags list i wanted to do Princess parties for little girls like basicly host princess parties for little girls what d oyou think ? i would supply all things needed and just charge by party depending on amount of people all that other stuff . for parents would you have something like that for your little girls ? im sure stuff like this already excits but what do you think ?

1. First off, I don't know what a Princess Party is, so I will talk in general business terms. 1. Get a business permit (from city or state) 2. Open a business checking account. You want to keep your money separate. 3. For something small like this, advertise on Craig's List, or other site that has classifieds go to www.manchestergrapevine.com and click on "visit other grapevine communities" and look for one in your area to advertise on. They are usually free and will allow you to post pictures and videos free too. 4. Be organized, practice what you are going to say when people call you, have all forms, brochures, business cards, etc ready to go. Be ready for wierd questions. 5. Practice with a 'dry run'. Practice with family members first so you know what to expect, how to set up the room, where people should sit, how to get the attention of a room full of little girls. Know where all your supplies are and where to have them so on your first job, you look like you know what you are doing. 6. Have written policies and contracts so we don't see you on The People's Court. Cover yourself with the details!
