I adopted my cat Bailey from crags list and he used to live with another cat and I believe a couple of dogs. When we got Bailey on 2/14/2008 and when he got him he was a bit over weight and was on a weight loss/hair ball control formula food. We had food from when we had the other cats so when the bag the older owner bought was gone we just gave him the food that we had. It wan't weight control like the other one, but he seems to have thinned down. Not a lot he doesn't look like he is skin and bones or anything, but he is thinner. My question is do you think the reason he lost weight is because here he doesn't have to compete for food like he probably did living with another cat and dogs and so he only eats a little when he is hungry and goes back for more later, but never has to compete and then not have any. Does that make since? Sorry, i know there is a lot of back story. To get to the question is do you think that Bailey lost weight because he wasn't eating as much because no one else is going to eat it so he doesn't over eat?
