Indians vs Tigers, who is better?
Since this rivalry is finally starting to come around who do you think gets the edge at each position? Sabathia vs Verlander Fausto Carmona vs Jeremy Bonderman Paul Byrd vs Mike Maroth Cliff Lee vs Chad Durbin Jake Westbrook vs Kenny Rogers(yes I know their both injured) Future aces-Adam Miller vs Andrew Miller MRP and SU vs MRP and SU Joe Borowski vs Todd Jones Victor Martinez vs Pudge Ryan Garko vs Sean Casey Josh Barfield vs Placido Polanco Casey Blake vs Brandon Inge Jhonny Peralta vs Carlos Guillen Grady Sizemore vs Curtis Granderson Trot Nixon vs Magglio Ordonez David Dellucci vs Crag Monroe Travis Hafner vs Gary Sheffield Bench vs Bench Overall? Tell me if I forgot anyone or made a mistake somewhere, that was a lot of players to list. Heres what I think....... Even Even Byrd Durbin Even Even Indians Borowski(take away 2 apearences his ERA is 3.10) Martinez Garko Polanco Inge Peralta Sizemore Ordonez Monroe Even Indians Even I'm going flat out even.

- TIGERS! HANDS DOWN! But take pride that you do have a great team this year...:) GO TIGERS!
- Actually they are very even this year. I would give the edge in overall pitching to Detroit. As far as fielding I would give the Indians the edge, Sizemore is the best player overall.
- you must really like the Indians. I am for the Indians in that matchup all the way.
- well ive been an indians fan my whole life and i really like what i see in this team so overall im gonna say the tribe
- I am a Tigers fan, 34 years and running. I would have to give the edge, right now, to the Indians. They seem to have our number early in this season. Rodney is killing us right now out of the pen, and Zumaya being hurt isnt helping any. I'm very excited about A. Miller, and his potential. I'm just not sure if he can help us right now, this season. The teams are very evenly matched on paper. But, as it stands now, I think the Indians have the mental edge. The fact that they are a bit younger overall may come into play late in the season. Especially if we get K. Rogers back at full strength.
- I'm just a huge fan of the good young talent that the tribe has right now. Go Tribe!
- Sabathia over Verlander Bonderman over Carmona Byrd over Maroth Durbin over Lee Rogers over Westbrook Andrew over Adam Detroit over Cleveland Jones over Borowski (close, experience to the playoff run) Martinez over Pudge ( upside over downside) Garko over Casey (upside over downside) Polanco over Barfield (experience over youth) Blake over Inge Guillen over Peralta Sizemore over Granderson Ordonez over Nixon Monroe over Dellucci Sheffield over Hafner (where does hafner play in NL parks) Detroit bench over Cleveland bench Detroin over Cleveland overall Intangible to Detroit (better manager, more experience, more overall talent)
- INDIANS ALL THE WAY! Dont even tell me somebody chose the Tigers! I cant stand it when people put the Tigers above the Indians in the power rankings or stuff. The Tribe OWN the Tigers! The Indians went 5-2 against the Tigers a few weeks ago, the Tigers can never beat any decent playing Divison Rivals. The Indians are going to the World Series buddy. GO TRIBE!
- pitching- tigers batting- push bench- indians overall- tigers (but if the indians win the wild card and they face each other in the playoffs then the indains will win, the tigers are 2-5 vs. them this season)
- its really close when you put players against players like that but i think together the indians would have a little bit of an edge
- Verlander Bonderman Byrd Durbin Rogers Future aces- toss up When zoom zoom gets back mrp and su Jones Pudge Garko Polanco Inge Guillen Granderson Ordonez Monroe Sheffield I dont care for Perez but the rest of Detroits bench is good Detroit When Kenny, Nate and Zoom Zoom comes back 100% and we send Fernando down to AAA or trade him we will have the best starting 5 in all of baseball, we already have the best starting lineup so I think Detroit will have a flawless second half and finish with close to 95 wins and take the AL to go on and defeat the Mets in the World Series. Maggs will finish with a .355 average with 35 HR and 128 RBI to go on to win the AL MVP. Sheffield will end up with about 42 HR Jeremy Bonderman is 6-0 and if he keeps up and finishes strong he could end up possibly 16-2 or maybe even 17-2 to win the Cy Young award. It's looking good in the D as long as this all happens, but no doubt Cleveland has a good team and it's going to be tough all year just as it was last year when Minnesota was on our tail!
