2007 rap sucked?
idk if it's just me, but 2007 was a horrible year for hip-hop, the biggest rap songs were "crank that", "this is why i'm hot", and "a bay bay" crank that technicly wasn't even rap, the lyrics were horrible. it was like techno with words. i think the best singles released in 2007 were "My Drink 'N My 2 Step" by Cassidy, "Baby Don't Go" - Fabolous, "Blue Magic" - Jay-Z, "Hip-Hop Police" - Chamillionaire, and "The People" by Common. The best albums were "American Gangster", "B.A.R.S.", "From Nuthin' To Somthin", and "Ultimate Victory". Nas had a greatest hits album released, and it had a pretty good list. But besides that, most of the music was bullshit. What are your opinions (explanatory) and do you think that there'll be a difference in 2008. I doubt it, but there was some tight mixtapes this year, no doubt.

- Not all 2007 music was bad
- I agree with u..But u forgot Lupe
- The return of Hov, Cassidy and Lupe putting out there best albums, Kanye and 50 showing that record sales can prevail, Common was straight sick on his joint and 3000 killed everything he did.

- I do agree, 2007 seemed like it was kind of a down year for hit songs. I'd have to say that my favorite song of 2007 whould have to be "The Sky is the Limit" by lil' wayne

- I agree I mean Souja boy and all dat other BS did not do much to revive Hip-Hop, all it did was kill it more.
