Can someone tell me about San Mateo Forest Apartments?

I was looking at the San Mateo Forest apartments 5 min. away from downtown Dallas (75223). I wanted to know if that area was safe and a nice place to live. They seem to be nice. I went on Apartment ratings and I recieved mixed reviews. Does anyone know anybody who used to stay there? PLEASE HELP ASAP
