How do you buy from craigslist? Do you discuss the shipping fee with the person your buying from?

I'm not sure how the shipping works whether you settle it with the person you're buying from or you pay craigslist for shipping to get your item or what. Can you help me?

1. Craigslist doesn't get involved at all. It's just like putting an ad in the newspaper. You contact the seller, and make what ever arrangements you want. I would be really careful dealing with someone out of town. There's no way to know whether they will actually send you the item. Buy from someone local, and pick the thing up yourself. Take someone with you, in case the person is really a pervert or murderer.
2. I am pretty sure that you pay the person shipping because they are mailing it....but not 100 % sure.
