Getting another apt ?

ok im looking at getting another apt because the last one we had was in a bad area and my car was broken into twice so we broke the lease which was back in may. My apartment finder told me that i can get another apt but just to tell them this is my first time renting, since i looked on my annual credit report and the broken lease isnt on there. I want to know is there anyway the other apt that im trying to get will find out? ok thanks rusty now i dont have to worry about getting another place for my family

1. No. The only way they could find out is if you give the previous landlord as a reference. What could show up on your credit report is a judgment by the previous landlord. If he did not take you to court, then obviously there can be no judgment.
2. Sorry - but the answer is yes - Especially if you are in the same city and rented from a large management company. Management companies share their databases of bad tenants.
