How do you apply for low income / no income housing in PA?
My mother has lost her job and inherited two young children under the age of 3 and in the process of losing her home. She will have no where to go. She has custody of her two grandchildren now. Where can she start to find low income/low budget housing in the PA area without having to wait years. All info is appreciated. Tks

- The Salvation Army should have a homeless shelter available, that is her best option. She would not be "no income" as child support counts as income. Why on earth would she take custody with no way to support those poor kids? A foster home would have been a better idea.
- She should immediately go apply for low-income housing at her city and county Housing Authority. http://www.paontheweb.com/search/?query=Low%20Income%20Housing I know that in my area of PA the Salvation Army and the YWCA provide help or shelter in emergency situations.
- first thing she needs to find a job second put those kids in daycare and the state will pay a certain%.
