should i use an aprtment locator, will that affect the rate of my rent?

dont they get commission if i go to a locator will that make my rent higher, how do locators work? i will be looking for a cheap apartment, but want to use a locator becuase i dont have a lot of time after work to look for apartments.

  1. In CA it depends on themarket. If the rental market is tight, they will take the listing from the landlord for free. Then they charge the tenant to get a copy of the list. On the other hand if there are a lot of vacancies, they charge the landlord for putting him on the list. Then they give the list away or charge very little for it.
