How do you list on your resume your position was eliminated?
My husband was let go from his job last week because of the economy and is updating his resume. How would he list "his job was eliminated because of the economy"? Also, where do you put the phrase at, next to the job title?

- On a resume, you don't need to say why a job ended. Just list the job with all the applicable info (company name, his position, starting and ending dates). If they ask in the interview why he left his previous job, then he can explain that he was laid off.
- Don't put that information on the resume. Just put the dates that he was in that job. They will ask why he left the job during the interview or on the application.
- On resumes its unprofessional to put why a person left a job. If they ask, he just needs to say that the company was doing very badly financially and so they laid off people and he was one of them.
