What percentage of the Jobs Obama promises to grow are Government jobs.?

Do you realize, that if they are government there will be no actual economic growth, just higher tax issues to pay for the government jobs. What you think America.

8. When did he say they were government jobs? Why would they be? His entire message is about putting people to work in environmental and energy jobs, construction and roadwork jobs.....that will bring economic growth.

14. Let's see. Using common sense. Jobs in the energy industry (clean coal, wind and yes drilling) = outside of government Jobs at carmakers (making green cars) = outside of government.

16. It will be all regulatory jobs. He will put Gore in charge of energy and all kind of jobs will be created to fight global warming that does not exist. Government will grow under Obama for sure. There will probably be new agencies created as well.

After that, he'll do what he "really" has planned for this country. HIS country. If there are more government jobs created, then he will really go back on what he said about government spending. Which he flip-flops on anyway because he says he wants to reduce government spending, but he has a lot of "new programs" in place that will cause GOVERNMENT SPENDING! It's the Dr. Obama and Mr. Biden campaign that's going to ruin us all!
18. Good observation. Not only that, but he will dictate the war from Washington and take away all power from our generals in the field. He hasn't talked with our troops, been over there not even a handful of times and therefore hasn't a clue what needs to be done. Sounds like vietnam all over again, and if we thought we lost enough troops already, wait and watch what happens if he gets in office.
19. No, I know how much money people make in an insurance agency & it is a ton of money. I worked for one & the owner made a whole lot of money & we all had some good money rolling in...so if a government had a manger instead of the owner of this agency who made $500,000 a year do you honestly thing that a gov. employee is going to get paid that amount..that is insane...it would be better for us all to have more gov. jobs & less people making sure outrageous incomes for sitting with their feet up on there desk & buying fancy chairs cause they are tax ded....The jobs that went over seas during Bush's Presidency would come back so instead of talking to Billy Bob with an Indian accent you would talk to Deepak who really is an american citizen or Billy Bob who really is an American tax payer & not on welfare anymore who was a computer genius but needed to go to school & was able to get the loan to do that with Obama as Pres.
20. The jobs he's talking about are mostly private sector. But tell me, if government workers produce something of value, doesn't that contribute to the creation of wealth? For example, the government built highways, railways, bridges and tunnels, allowing goods to be transported. Were such projects not essential to our prosperity?
21. I think the percentage will be close to 100%, so I wonder how our taxes would not be affected. Also with his raising the capital gains tax, and restoring the death tax and marriage penalty will definitely have it's effects on the middle class. Didn't he also say he would use tax money for construction, and pour our money into the energy exploration, and close loop holes in corporatuions? This all transfers back to us! You are 100% correct on the higher taxes stunting economic growth. We will be heading for another depression. Mark my words. ~
22. Government can only create jobs in one way. This is to employ people on the government payroll. This includes military jobs. Obama's plans call for providing government funding to certain types of industry. This he believes will create additional private sector jobs. It is not a sound plan and is just one of the many areas where he has proposed massive spending. The problem is we do not have the money to spend in the first place. A much better plan for any potential President would be to try and end the war as soon as possible and then work towards balancing the budget. Once we balance the budget then we must tackle the massive amount of debt we have created. By doing these things we could hope to eventually stabilize the tax base. This would be beneficial to business. I find it interesting that many Obama supporters believe he is against government subsidies to corporations since his own stated plan on his website does not support this belief. Obama is not against government subsidies, he just wants to pick who gets it. Obama does not plan to save any money, he just wants to redirect the spending we already have while adding additional spending for his pet projects like socialized medicine.
23. I couldn't imagine he'd create more than 1,000 government jobs for administrative purposes related to his health care plan. Pushing for alternative energy will take place in the form of boosting the private sector, and a lot of those jobs will be contract jobs, to create things like solar and wind farms, once those things are built, maintenance is minimal. Those people will just lose their jobs afterwards....
24. Chicago pays the highest taxes in the country. Over 10%, now are we supposed to believe Obama is going to lower our taxes and create jobs? Dont think so. He was an ILL state senator for 8 years. Chicago has had more murders in 6 mo. than soldiers killed in Iraq in the same 6 months. Corruption is rampant. If he couldnt fix ILL, how is he going to fix the country?
25. Oh there will be a few other jobs to get, but you'll have to agree to move to Kenya or Indonesia to get them. After all, as a "citizen of the world" he has his reputation in those countries to maintain as well you know?
