How do I insure that I get the best housing options for college?
I am a senior in high school, and my college acceptance letters are coming quickly. I wanted to know how early should I get my housing agreement in for the college of my choice, so that I will get the best options for housing?

- As soon as you can. As an incoming Freshman, you still might not get what you want, but the sooner you get it in, the higher up your name will be for the lottery (if that's what your college does.)
- Once you've made your decision about where you will attend and sent back your acceptance/agreement and whatever required fees/deposits, generally you should send your housing agreement and preferences (assuming they give you options) as quickly as possible/feasible and that will get you the best shot for the dorm/location you want. If you want to be sure, I would call the school's housing office and find out what their policy is for assigning dorms - you may get some inside info and better your chances for getting what you want. Good luck.
