Why do some apartment sites show less rent than others and ask for membership to reveal the address?

I tried an online apartment search (in California) and found the rent for a 1-bed apt. not less than 1000 $ . But some sites like apartmenthunterz showed 1-bed apt's for $800 and even less, but these are paid sites which require membership for revealing address and other details. Are such site sreliable in the results they show? How is it that they are showing rental for a much lower price?

1. Those that charge you money are rip-offs. Do they guarantee that those are real listings, they could be fakes just to get your membership money.
2. so they can sell your address.....load your inbow, w/ spam or 99/100 offers that are to far away for you to care about...........
