Final Fantasy III DS Question about leveling up with jobs?

Depending on what job you have equipped, does that affect how much HP you gain when you level up (and not a job level)? For example, comparing a character equipped with knight and another character equipped with white mage. Does the character equipped with the knight job gain more HP when leveling up than the character equipped with white mage?

1. Yes, it does affect your HP. The Knight will obviously have more hp than a White Mage if you keep leveling in the Knight job. I recommend switching to a Black Belt once you get it as, its the job that has the highest hp growth in the game.
