- OK those are community colleges, not private colleges. They cost practically nothing to go to. It's not really a real college. Private colleges are 4-year universities.
- I think that they are just as valuable as public colleges. The top students who go to public schools are just as smart as the top students that go to private schools. A lot of people don't realize this because territoriality has obscured their views on what is prestigious and what is junk. Now I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but why would you want to pay more money for the same level of education that you can receive at a public university. The only real differences are the level of endowment and admissions. Public universities will sometimes admit people with lower than average GPAs these people tend to work less and are sometimes a distraction to the learning environment. To the guy above me public colleges are not only capable of having a 4 year program, but they can also offer masters and doctoral degrees. An example of this would be Cleveland State University.
- In my opinion, no, they are usually not worth the extra money. Unless they are giving you a scholarship, save your money and go to a public school.
- hi to answer your question the answer is no. The only reason they call themselves private is so they can have a reason not to accept past credits that you may have earned somewhere else so now you have to start all over and spend more money which is all they really care about. Secondly, you will miss out on a lot if you sell yourself short by not going to a traditional college, junior college or university for example I have an AA from a public and fully accredited junior college they had opportunities to study abroad and internships and All my credits transferred to a university and by the way my tuition was half of what it would have cost me to attend a university for the first two years so if you decide to start at the junior college level go to a public one that has an articulation agreement with a university to finish up your bachelors and it wont matter where you started your first two years also look into financial aid once you do it the first years it gets easier okay hope this helped
