When will the housing market start to pick up again?

I was suppose to move in July 2009 but my parents can't sell the house because the housing market is so low. Ok, I have no idea what Im talking about but I really wanna know, will it pick up by July? I miss my friennds so much I wanna move so bad. If my parents can't sell the house i'll probably go live at my friend's house or something.

based upon prior recessions the market is HIGHLY unlikely to revive until '11 or '12. i have a hundred bux that says i am right, a revival soon, don;t bet on it.
no it wont pick up then. the amount of people searching for a home may pick up in spring more then winter but ultimitely in a whole the market and the acconomy wont pick up by then. if your parents dropped their home price to a lower amount then the going rate they would sale their home easier the the guys next door. thats if your parents can afford to do that. also it is harder for people to apply sucessfully for a loan to buy a home. so that is another problem in homes sales. but to answer your question the market wont really pick up for a few years and that wont be even at its peak.

When people stop losing their jobs. Right now unemployment is at 6.7%. It's expected to go as high as 8%-9%.
